It was a warm Italian morning. The gentle breeze blew over the garden of Passione's Don, carrying the sweet scent of flowers. A turtle and a child lay in the grass, soaking up the warm sun. The child's plum locks were being blown gently by the breeze as she slept in the warm morning sun. The turtle beside her woke up and stretched his neck out. Blue eyes looking everywhere before he turned to nudge the girl. "Wake up, Petite pilier. It's time for you to get up," the turtle spoke and the girl whined. "Just another hour, Polpol.," the girl whined and rolled over. The turtle walked towards the girl and nudged again. He listened and heard that her breathing was slow again. She was asleep. The turtle sighed, "If I was still human, I would pick you up and carry you in myself."
The girl had a smile on her face as she slept. The former Frenchman crawled around the sleeping girl and used his little turtle beak to pull the cloak over her, "No matter how old you are, you're still a child." He settled down under her arm as she slept in the warm morning light. After what they have gone through with Diavolo and the funerals, they needed rest.In her dreams, the little girl was with her father. Twirling and swirling, spinning and drifting. They could feel each other because of their shared blood, their only link to each other they had left. Their minds and hearts linked through this bond. Together silently twirling. Although they could not speak to each other through their shared bond, they knew that each loved the other and wished to reunite.
But they could not, they could not reunite. Kars was in the vast expanse of the cosmos and (y/n) was on earth. But she was safe, Giorno was taking good care of her. The ghost pillars made sure that everything was okay with their vast experience and expertise on their species. She was happy and not alone. Kars was the exact opposite, he was alone and miserable for it. The only company was from his link to his daughter.
The ancient and godlike man had felt the times she was sad and injured through their link. He wanted to be there for her. To protect her like he had sworn to.The little girl was picked up by a familiar male, Mista, Giorno's right hand man. The gunman held the girl carefully as he picked up the turtle with the other arm. "Giorno was wondering where you two were.," the dark eyed male spoke, "He wanted to talk to you to about some things, Polnareff." The turtle nodded as he was carried into the house. The gunman carefully set the girl down on the couch in his boss's office before setting the turtle on Giorno's desk. "Where were you two?," The blond teen asked the turtle. Polnareff stuck his head out of his shell a little more, "We were in the garden, the petite pilier wanted to talk before we fell asleep out there."
Giorno chuckled a little, this one one of many amusing things the girl he now knew as his niece had done. The blond haired teen boy talked with the turtle as the gunman sat next to the dozing girl he had startled awake by sitting down suddenly next to her. Mista sighed and stretched, he felt like it was going to be a good day. Perhaps a mission today? Perhaps a trip somewhere? Perhaps just a day out on the town? Who knows, he was in a good mood. The dark eyed male felt the girl beside him lean against him, dozing. She had been sleepy lately, it could be around the time she needed to sleep. He hoped that was it and that she was not sick. He'd have to ask one of her ghost warrior family that were currently out scouting about what to do. Mista did not really like to talk to them, they seemed a bit too intense for his tastes. The gunman felt the little girl's horns poke into his chest, it hurt a bit through his cashmere sweater. The gunman carefully made the sleeping child lean more comfortably against his arm.
Giorno finished speaking with the turtle and picked the terrapin up, "Mista, let's go. We're going out, bring (y/n)." "Sure thing Giorno.," Mista said and picked up the tiny plum haired girl, "Wake up, princess." The girl opened her ruby red eyes and rubbed them. The gunman set the girl down, "We're going out into town now, promise to stay near us?" (Y/n) woke up completely and nodded, "Yeah! Where are we going? Is this a misson?" "No, it is not a mission. We are having a day out on the town after all of the previous missions.," Giorno replied, "The last few months of being the Don has been stressful, I need to rest."
