Rowan's POV:
Daisy. She's dead. Gone. And it's all my fault. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach as I stare at Daisy's shredded, almost unrecognizable corpse. My breathing hitched and my pupils dilated. I couldn't stop crying. Why would he do this? Why would Malakeef, of all people, choose me to kill Daisy, one of the most innocent people at our school to date? I didn't understand. I never would understand. The blood that stained my white flannel was soaking in, and my body was frozen, unmoving. My hands didn't look normal. They had almost claw-like features to them. "Daisy.." I whisper softly, still holding my stomach, still sobbing, still confused. I wanted to scream, I wanted to be blamed, I wanted to not feel this guilt anymore. But I kept my mouth shut. And for the first time, I did something so so stupid, I feel like a idiot just for saying it aloud. I ran. I ran and ran, until I couldn't see Daisy's lifeless eyes and pale hands. I still remember how vividly I killed her. Her guts being split open, her throat being cut to pieces, her horrifying, childish screams. I played in my mind like a cold-hearted children's lullaby. I keep running. I never look back. I cant look back. I cant forgive myself. I cant forgive Daisy. I couldn't trust myself or anyone anymore. I wanted to keep running until I felt the ground from under me disappeared. Then suddenly, I just stopped. I didn't move. I stood completely still. My hand was still over my stomach, and I was still sobbing. "I'm sorry Daisy..." I kept saying. "I wasn't there for you. I wasn't your partner in crime, like I promised. I want to say sorry. But I can't. I cant forgive you, I cant forgive myself. I just wish you gave me a sign...." I stopped sobbing and suddenly I stopped shaking. I felt my eyelids close on me. I saw the world go dark. I let myself pass out. Who knows where I'll be by morning...
