All alone sat I by the Riverside
When hope had traveled far away
Faith had gone to visit a friend
Smile had been missing for years
Joy had been murdered in cold blood
Happiness had been arrested
Amidst these came a stranger
A stranger with a thousand mouths
But few words
Like a scared child I screamed
But I wasn't heard
For life's ears were shut
Out of his mouth came my name
Whilst he grabbed my hand
Persuading me to tread a path
A journey of no return
To the land of the unknown
What could I do?
Why would I refuse?
For life is a cheat
And friends were on extinction
Now the stranger's become a friend
So tread I the path of this stranger.
