Sigourney Baines, daughter of the Duke of Durmchapel.
They say this town used to belong to the French. But the English don't even want to check it because they know it's true. Durmchapel is in the north of England. Quite green and warm too. I am Sigourney Baines, daughter of Kendrick and Alodie Baines. I have a sister, Florence Baines. My father is an archduke, which means my family is of the Nobility.
I have never fallen in love, no man has ever had in my eyes the value of being loved by me. Call me arrogant, but I'm sure you wouldn't want a man who goes to brothels and fucks a few women even though he's married. Marriage isn't supposed to be like this. Marriage means bonding and being loyal. If you don't have one of the subtle criteria, you've screwed the whole thing up.
My mother Alodie, is much older than my father. 20 years age difference. At that time, my grandparents thought it was appropriate to marry my parents. Whether they really love each other or are faking it, we do not know. However, the unpopular amount of love in them was enough to procreate 2 daughters.
Florence is literally 'young, broke and desperate'. She always has a crush on somebody and rebels constantly. Sometimes I think that this girl will create her own kingdom according to her wishes. She also throws money out the window. She spends money without thought and that is the reason why the 14-year old Florence does not get any more money in her hands.
