Chapter 1: "Curse you, Potter!"

I was dreaming of Potter.
I don't know how in the world that happened, but here it was. I was walking down a wedding aisle with Harry at the end, looking quite handsome in a slick, black suit. Mother and Father were there, along with many other people. I practically gagged, but couldn't bring my body to stop moving. I looked down and noticed I was wearing a long, white dress. I wanted to scream; this was the worst nightmare of all time.

I felt a sharp sting in my cheek and a soft breeze through my hair as I opened my eyes. As I blinked the blurriness from my eyes, I felt the soft leaves of a willow tree fall on my skin and I heard a creek nearby. Once I woke up fully, I saw Pansy and Blaise in front of me. Blaise was laughing so hard he was holding his stomach, while Pansy looked quite annoyed. I figured Pansy slapped me, so I quickly stood up and glared at her.

"What was that for?!"

She rolled her eyes, clearly pissed off.

"Anyone tell you that you talk in your sleep?"

I flushed a deep red, though I don't know why. I was having a horrible nightmare of getting married to Potter, so why was I blushing?

"I just needed to wake you up before you started flirting with Potter in dreamland."

Pansy rolled her eyes again as Blaise slowly stopped laughing. I'd glare at them both.

"It was a nightmare, for your information, Pansy."

"Sure, sure."

She rolled her eyes once more before we walked off into the castle. I was thinking about why I would have such a nightmare that I was getting married to Potter. I mean, what's so special about that idiot? He's clumsy, stupid, and probably a horrible kisser.

Just that moment, I fell backwards as something hard hit my head. I figured it was a student, and when I saw a pair of glasses and a bit of a red tie, I knew I was right.

"Watch where you're going, you stupid Gryffindor!"

I'd brush myself off and stand up to see three pairs of glaring eyes and two pairs of annoyed eyes. I looked down at the emerald green pair and blushed again. It was Harry Potter. Oh why did it have to be him that I bumped into?!

"You don't have to be so mean, Draco.."
I'd hear him mutter.
I simply rolled my eyes and looked at the other eyes. As I assumed, they belonged to Pansy and Blaise, who were annoyed, and Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, who were angry. I backed up slightly as Hermione glared at me. She may be a mudblood, but she's got a strong punch! I learned never to underestimate that girl..

I looked at Ron and chuckled slightly. Ron was so innocent, he'd probably be too scared to even touch me. Honestly, how he got into Gryffindor is a mystery to me. Ron helped Harry up while Hermione kept giving me a nasty look. Honestly! All I did was bump into him and call him stupid! She'd sigh as Ron called her and they walked off.

"Thank God they left; they're annoying as hell!"

"Don't be so mean, Draco."

Pansy walked off, but she seemed less confident than she normally was. Blaise would quietly mumble something before he walked off to find Pansy. What was going on with those two?! Did they have feelings for Potter and his ridiculous friends?! I decided to ignore it as I left the halls to attend my potions class. I was late, but better late than never, and Professor Snape would never do anything bad to me.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Though it pains me to say, 10 points from Slytherin!"

My fellow Slytherins glared at me as Potter smirked from across the classroom.

"But-"

"No 'buts' Mr. Malfoy. Lateness is not tolerated in my classroom. Now, onto the lesson for today."

I'd sit there in shock. What has gotten into everyone today?! First, Pansy and Blaise have feelings for Potter and his friends, then Professor Snape takes points away from his own house just because I was late! I'd sigh quietly and would doodle in my notebook.

Somehow, by the end of class, I had ended up drawing a picture of me and Potter kissing in a heart. Ugh! The idiotic Potter is everywhere now..
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
After the day was over, I was feeling very guilty. Over the years, I was so mean to Potter, even though he doesn't deserve it. He's just a regular boy who happens to be famous. I bet if I got to know him better, he wouldn't even be half bad! I decided to write an apology note to him, but not a regular one. I guess, over the years I've 'known' him, he's sort of grown on me..

I guess you could say I have a crush on Potter.. but that's besides the point. I took out a fancy scroll and pen and wrote down a short, but sappy and cute, letter.

Dear Potter,
I know I've always been an jerk to you since we've first met, but why don't we change that? The truth is, I love the way your emerald green eyes sparkle and how you always push up your round glasses. I love your shaggy black hair and your slightly messy look. Whenever you're on the Quidditch field, I cheer for you the loudest. In my head.. I've never told anyone my feelings for you, not even my closest friends. The only reason I bullied you and said those harmful words was because I didn't want people to know that I feel this way. But, now, I don't care anymore. It's time to let the feelings out, finally. So, here it is. I love you, Harry James Potter. I love you with all of my heart. Do you feel the same?
~ Draco Malfoy

I read the scroll again and gasped. I was in love with Harry?! But, how? Oh, who cares. I wrote it down on paper and that's that. But.. he'll never accept me if I just send this.. I need something else. Something like.. an anonymous love note!

I took out another scroll and wrote down a small, but cute, love poem. I didn't write my name at the bottom however. I didn't want Harry to find out just yet. It can wait a little more, when the time's right. I sent out a basic, plain owl so he wouldn't suspect anything and went on with my day. Until.. an idea came to me.

What if, everyday, I wrote a love poem to Potter, slowly leading clues to who his secret admirer is! That's a great idea!

"I'm such a genius."

I'd think. That night, I lay down in bed and slowly drifted off to sleep. There, I saw Harry again. We were in a small, yet cozy, home. I was laughing with Harry at a joke while two children played. One seemed to look like me while the other looked like Potter. A woman entered the room. She was short, but thin, and had a mass of red hair covering her head. She kissed Potter on the cheek and left the room. I caught a glimpse of her face and slowly, my blood went cold.

It was Ginny. This was a dream where Harry and I are just friends and he's married to Ginny Weasley. The children were ours, but not in the way I wanted. I'd wake up in a fright, terrified at that outcome, and saw my picture of Harry on my wall (Yes I have a picture of him. Don't judge!).

"Curse you, Potter! Why do you have to be so darn cute.."

I'd mutter before drifting back to sleep again..
