Honestly, I'm tired of how many people on here think it's 'rude' or 'annoying' to correct someone's grammar on their story.
It is definitley not either of those. As a writer, whether a hobby or paid, when you post a story you are posting it at a professional level automatically.....especially on a site like this where you have so many readers reading your work. Therefore you have to treat it with that respect, and poor spelling and grammar definitley does not mean you are.
Grammar is what completes a story, what helps you get your story line and plot across. If you get annoyed and/or don't care about your grammar in your story you quite obviously aren't as dedicated to your story as you make yourself out to be.
ALSO, what kind of society do we live in where correcting someone's grammar is considered rude?! Honestly, what was the point of your whole education life then?! I think it should be encouraged to correct someone's grammar and spelling. If anything it's nothing but helpful to the author.
