It was a year now, and Kyle and Alice were friends. Alice was sassy then and there, but Kyle enjoyed it. He enjoyed a friend. Someone who's there for you. Someone, always there for you.

Alice strutted away from the hall, her hands on her hips. "Kyle, let's go to the store!" She shouted. "Don't want to be late!" She put her sandals on, then put her cap on her head. Kyle came rushing out of the room, his slippers on. "What?" He asked worriedly. "Let's go to the store!" She beamed. Kyle rolled his eyes.

They walked off to the store, ignoring the sounds of honking from cars. Kyle didn't quite know where they were walking, but he walked on with her. Alice threw her purse in the air, then caught it in her palms when it dropped back down. "Here it is!!" Alice screamed. "Teens Dream Fashion Store!" She jumped in the air, smiling bright and cheerfully.

Kyle looked at the store in confusion. He nodded. "Why are we here?" "Well of course!" Alice cheered. "To buy me the new, amazing, Pink Power sunglasses!!" Kyle frowned. "Why am I here again?" Alice stomped her foot into the ground. "Just wait out here!" Kyle pouted sarcastically. "Fine!" He whined. "But I'll die out here!-" Alice was already inside the shop, wandering the place. Kyle sighed and sat on the ground. He frowned, looking around. After a while of looking around, he saw a small, brown figure in the corner of his eye. He turned toward the figure, seeing a small brown block a couple feet away from him. He stood up, running over to the object. He saw, it was a thick, brown book. He bent over, and picked up the book.

When he looked inside the book, a golden glow shot out of the book. The book glowed bright, sparkles waving back in forth in the cold air. He jumped back, letting the book float, and glow in the clear air. He ran back to the glowing book, and shut it tight. He held it to his side, breathing hard and heavy. He shook his head. "I need to tell Alice." He muttered under his breath looking around. "That's odd. It seems, no one was looking." He glanced at the mysterious book. Then, ran into the store.
