Ren walked into a small supermarket on the corner of Cat Street, he wanted to buy a snack as he got tried after shopping for some new clothes; some of which he'd wear for himself but most were for his job. The large number of female customers at GoodTimes always paid for role-playing as their boyfriends would never want to do it, Mr. Yamamoto also joked that their boyfriends thought of it as childish and only cared about satisfying their needs, which is why he believes a lot of those relationships don't end up working out.

Ren proceeded to the checkout and to his surprise, the cashier was staring at him, analyzing every part of him, from head to toe. "Hi, just these please," he said as he put down a can of Redbull and a bag of flaming hot Cheetos.

The cashier didn't do anything and stayed frozen for a brief moment that felt like it wasn't going to end. "Ah, yes yes. Sorry, I was just getting lost in your beautiful eyes." She said.

Ren stuttered as he doesn't know what to say back.

"Jesus, chill. I'm just messing with you, your big head was covering the TV; I'm watching the match." She said as she beeped both of the items he wanted to purchase. "That'll be 456 yen." She said as he reached out of his wallet and paid the amount.

Ren took his things and left without looking back but over at the distance, the cashier was staring at him again, this time with a look of ambivalence.

An apartment door unlocks from the outside, the sound of rain and the loudness of the crowds and vehicles bleed through. The person goes in and closes the door behind them, it's Ren. He drops all of the bags and sits on a brown leather chair to relax after a tiring day. After a couple of minutes doing nothing, he gets up and turns on the TV which was muted and a small lamp that gives off yellow light. He doesn't turn on the rest as he likes to sit and watch the rain reflect on the purple neon sign outside of his window which is part of a nightclub. He prepares a mug of green tea and sits down, staring at the neon rain as time passes by, he doesn't know why he observes this odd scenery but he just knows he likes it.

His phone started ringing after a bit, it was hard to tell how long exactly he got lost in his thoughts staring outside the window. He picks up his phone to see that it was Mr.Yamamoto himself calling him. "Why would he call me this late?" Ren thought as he accepted the call.

"Hello," he answered.
"Ah, Mr. Nakamura, I need you to come early tomorrow. There's a customer that booked for an entire day and everyone else is on a holiday except you, I'm sorry but you're the only employee left who hasn't taken their vacation yet." He explained.
"No problem, Sir. I'll come in tomorrow morning" said Ren
"Thank you, Mr. Nakamura," Yamamoto said and closes the call a moment after.

"I knew I should've taken that vacation. Dammit. I guess one more day couldn't hurt" Ren thought as he decided to go to bed as it was past 1 am. "Wait, tomorrow is Monday, no one is allowed vacation at the start of the week." Ren overthought as he started being skeptical.
