"What did you say?!" Jisung demands.

"It's your mother... she paid me to kill your dad," Yugyeom confessed.

"That's not possible..." Jisung says in disbelief.

"Oh, it is.... sometimes the people who we love aren't always who they seem," Yugyeom advised.

"And you killed him?" Jisung asks.

"Well.... 5 million won is a lot of money so might as well I get the job done. Am I right?" Yugyeom passes the question back.

Jisung was in a stage of denial. There was no way, his MOTHER paid Yugyeom to kill her own HUSBAND. It just doesn't make sense...

"But then why did the police not want to investigate it?" Jisung asks. Yugyeom shrugs.

"You'll have to ask your mother about that...I don't know why she did that but 5 million was too good to pass up," Yugyeom says as he starts to walk away.

He left.

Jisung looked at the sky. Tears started to well up even more.

" 엄마...왜? 왜?!! (Mom...why? WHY?!)" Jisung shouts to the sky in a cracked voice.

Jisung started to whimper and sniff.

"Eommaa~~~ why did you do that?!" Jisung shouted.

He started to ruffle his hair in frustration. He started to throw a tantrum on the roof.

Little did Jisung know....his earpiece wasn't on mute...

"Jisung-ah, they left," Chan says.

Jisung wipes his tears and presses the button on his earpiece to say,"어...아라요(yes..i know),"

Chan feels bad for the younger to have to pretend he's fine.

Jisung wipes his tears and took a deep breath. He opened his eyes to look at the sun.

"I'm going to find out why she did this," Jisung crumbled his fist.

He left and went to the van. He meet with his confused members.

"Jisung-ah, why did you release the girl? Isn't she like a useful thing for us?" Changbin asks the younger. He didn't respond.

Chan felt bad as he watched from afar.

"Let's go home," Jisung says and went to take a seat at the last row where Chan was seated.

Chan sees the grumpy boy and sighs.

"지성아..괜찮아? (Jisung-ah, are you okay?)" Chan asks. Jisung just nods. Chan sighs internally and leaned his head into the headrest hence closing his eyes to focus on his thought for a while.

When he reopened them, he glances at the younger sitting across him. The younger stared at the road with sad eyes.

Chan could do anything but pity him. He couldn't tell him that he heard everything. It'll only upset him even more. This....is his own personal problem.

Chan's willing to help but he doesn't want to hit someone's sensitive spot. Especially, when they just got hurt by an unconfirmed fact.

The younger slowly falls in a slumber and the older just observes the younger's movements.

He's been mentally exhausted lately.

Chan knew that Jisung had no intention of hurting anyone. Chan knows that Jisung hates it when someone cries but he wanted to get to the bottom of his problem.

....

"Jisungie? Where you going?" Chan asks as he sees the younger sneaking around the living room, well dressing and with a hat and mask, trying to hide where he might be going.

"Oh? HYUNG! Why are you up so late? Don't you go sleep?" Jisung nervously asks as he scratches his nape.

"Now? No...i still have things to do...." Chan explains as he looks at the younger. Chan had messy hair and tired eyes.

"How about you? ...Where are you going in the middle of the night?" Chan passes the question back to him. Jisung mentally shivers.

"I-I have to go g-get something...YES! Get something!" Jisung stammers.

"Now? Why can't you just get it in the morning?" Chan asks the younger with confused eyes. Jisung could only nervously chuckle.

"Ah...I bought this from a really reallllly REALLYYYY pirvate buyer and he's very secretive. In fact, I have to head over to his hometown, Incheon at this exact timing to get the product! I'll be back by tomorrow at night probably, don't wait for me!" Jisung exclaims. Chan gave him the 'you're-weird-but-okay' look.

"Okay...be careful. Any problems, please don't hesitate to call me," Chan reminds. Jisung smiles.

"Of course hyung! Saranghae! (Love you!)" Jisung says as he slips out of their house.

Chan sighs as he knows that the younger is up to. Jisung was going to confront his mother. It's been a week since the incident happened between Jisung and Yugyeomie. Chan has been observing the younger way more carefully this time around. Jisung wasn't outside as always. He was rather reserved and quiet. He never talked loudly as he usually would and he would always be on his laptop, locked away in his room. The members never suspected anything. They concluded that he was tired or mentally exhausted from the fight between him and Yugyeom but Chan, he knew all the members way more than they knew themselves. Chan, is very observant. He likes to be quiet and observe their behaviors first before judging them.'

Jisungie was going to confront his mother and ask for the truth. Jisung couldn't accept the fact that his mother was behind all this. However, Jisung knew one thing, his mother would never lie to him so he is going to use that as an advantage and going to find the truth behind his father's murder.

...

Jisung was already in a cab. He was going to the bus station to get to Incheon, his birthplace. He was going to confront his mother once and for all. 8 years...of research and he finds out that his mother is the suspect behind all this? Jisung couldn't accept the fact.

Once he enters the bus, he played 'Insomnia' repeatedly on his playlist as he silently cried.

He hasn't had proper sleep in a week and it hurts his brain.

As the bus finally stopped, Jisung got off and walked up the hill towards his hometown. His feet dragged and his tired aura made things even worse. He wanted to end this mystery now. It's tiring him. Jisung's frustrated because he couldn't find any clue to what and how it happened.

Slowly, he came face to face with the wooden door as Jisung used to threaten to run away if it wasn't locked. Jisung sighs and knocked on the wooden door and waited. He placed his fidgety hands into his pocket s as he dried the tears off his eyes.

The door opened and it revealed a young women in her late 50s. She had young and flawless skin. She was a foot shorter than Jisung. The women smiled upon seeing the tall figure finally coming home after 8 years.

"Mom...."

"I'm here now," Jisung softly says.
