29th August 1945,

Lorenzo's Pov.

Life is such a marvellous thing one has in this Universe. We all have hearts who want to live the way it wants. It wants freedom, but then there are restrictions from society, religion and whatnot.

Ever wondered what happens if someone comes to you and says that it would want your soul? Or, it would want you to leave your body and stay on this earth?

I know no one has and I hope that no one faces this.

It's been exactly one month since I knew what my destiny would be. I have limited time to live, and my clock is ticking backwards.

Yet, long back, I lost the hope to live. My heart still pains thinking about my past one month journey in London.

Lucus and I never talked to each other after we fought a month ago. He would ignore my existence or change his path if we ever met face to face. I never liked his cold behaviour toward me.

I left our house and stayed with Leo and Lambert. It terrified me to live in the previous house because when I looked at it, I only imagined Galo, the crow and It would remind me of my sins making me sick.

On that day's evening, Lucas and Eva got married and what hurts the most is that they didn't invite me. Leo, Lambert, Eva's brother Aiden along with Eva's friends, everyone was present there except me.

I was just there, standing outside the corner most window where I wouldn't get caught looking at their joyous moment. Lucas had zoned out many times, probably thinking about me nevertheless Eva would soothe him.

We always shared our joy and grief. And look here, everything changed.

That day, after Galo or Gerrald flew away, I didn't wish to enter the house. I just kept staring at the window of the room I was living in for hours. I didn't have the courage, that's why I decided, to take a walk around.

I thought I would see Lucas, Leo or Lambert, but everything was very calm, and I could see they locked their doors. That's when an enormous truck entered and got parked in front of Eva's house. Curiously, I went near the truck and got surprised after looking at hundreds of unique types of flower pots.

I could hear the shouting from the truck. The truck driver was on his phone, scolding the person on the other side for the absence of labourers. After he finished his call, he came out of his truck, and I went to him.

"So many flowers? Can I ask for who is it?" I asked him. He must not have seen me coming, my sudden question makes him startled, and stumble on his spot, "Woah!" he exclaimed in fear. He calmed down after looking at me.

"God-Man! you scared me!" He said. His accent and brown skin-toned looked like he was from Africa. I looked at his impressive curly black hair and then back to his black eyes. He was taller than me! My height is 6, while he looked 6.5.

"I'm sorry to scare you it wasn't my intention...." I start to apologise him, but he cuts me in between "It's okay. It's just that I am having a terrible day, and you surprised me. You bought me back to this world from my thoughts." He laughs loudly, making me smile. At least I am not that bad.

"Mr Lucas Thompson ordered these flowers as his wedding gift for his wife. They are in the church, and I have to set this all up before they come back." After he said these words, my smile faded away. That is how I came to know about their wedding, from, a stranger.

"Church? For what?" Although I knew why they went there, I didn't want it to hear from him, but he replied those words which broke me apart. "Their marriage is going on."

My world twisted, and I felt the ground shift underneath my feet. Goosebumps formed on my body, making me shiver, and I could feel the chilly air hitting my skin.

That's when a van enters the lane honking very loudly, and soon labourers and the truck driver left to do their work leaving me alone with my thoughts.

I blinked away the tears, which were forming and looked at the truck. I noticed a small rose plant, on the edge of the truck. No one was noticing. It could fall any second breaking itself.

I caught it and looked up thinking that someone would notice it, but everyone was busy planting or arranging the flower pots. I again looked at the abundant small rose pot in my hands and clutched tightly to me.

I started walking away from everyone. That plant was lonely, just like me.

I exit block 30, and went to the nearest church that was in Block 28 because I didn't know any other church here. I had never gone to the church after coming here.

That explains why I committed sins. I had stopped my interaction with God because I thought I was superior to all after being a Secret Agent. I got a false alarm of being super.

After asking for directions of the church from the passersby, I reached there. I entered the gates and peeked inside from the window near the doors only to find everyone there, except me.

My heart sank, and I tightened my hold on the plant. The tears which I had been controlling for so long flows mercilessly. I look down at the plant to find droplets of my tears on it, making it look fresh. I sigh and look up again. Their happiness was only stabbing my heart.

I turn around and start walking back to the house, but that's when it struck me that this plant wasn't abundant. It would get placed in a beautiful garden. It just came to the edge of the truck, and I had to place it back on its spot with other plants. What I did was I took it away from all thinking it's not wanted.

I stop in my spot and groan loudly and look at the fragile pot in my hand. I couldn't return it to the workers. That's when I noticed a few children playing near the church building, and an idea struck in my mind.

I called a five-year-old child and asked him to give the plant to the wedded couple inside the church. He scanned my vulnerable state before helping me. I followed him from behind until he gave the pot to Lucas, then I left from there because I didn't want the child to know that I was following him, it could scare him.

As soon as I reached the gates, someone caught my shoulder, making me stop on my spot. I got tensed by his touch.

I don't know why, but I mentally prayed that it be Lucas, but as soon as I turned around, I got disappointed. It wasn't Lucas, but the Pope. "Oh dear," he sadly said, "I know everything that has happened with you, I can help....." God knows what happened to me, I denied, his help and scampered without listening to him further.

He kept shouting that he could help me, but by that time, I was exhausted to hear anything from anyone.

I came back in Block 30 and kept running till the end of the street. It had a beautiful lake there, so I sat on the chair near it. Since then I would sit here, and avoid interaction with everyone.

Leo and Lambert lost their hopes of talking to me because I never replied to them. The last person I had talked with was that child one month ago. I have forgotten how my voice sounded.

It will be almost a day since I haven't got up from this chair. I'm sitting here since yesterday morning. I didn't feel to sleep at night, so I didn't go to Leo and Lambert's house.

Speaking about Leo and Lambert, I shocked them when I entered their house and said nothing. Lambert was sharing his clothes with me because I brought nothing with me after leaving Galo's house.

"LORENZO! LORENZO!" Leo's voice brings me out of my thoughts. I look behind only to find him running towards me.

I get up from the seat, and that's when I felt the pain on my back for sitting in the same position for almost 24 hours.

"Lorenzo! We have a problem!" Leo says as he reaches me. He looks everywhere before continuing, "We have to leave! Someone reported about us, and any moment the police and military would come to arrest us. We have to leave right now! Come On!"

A shiver runs down my spine after hearing Leo. He catches my hands, and we run as fast as we could towards their house. Lambert was already waiting down with our bags. Luckily, he packed my things too, which was in the previous house.
