One school morning my iPod alarm went off. Hoping I could get some more sleep, I pushed snooze. My over cheerful mom came into my room singing, "Good morning" and turned on the light. I knew that my long nights rest was over. So I got up knowing that my mom, the bus driver, was leaving in one hour. Since I didn't want to go to school, I fooled around taking my time. My mom was yelling, "You better be ready by the time the bus leaves!" I rolled my eyes and ignored her. After 15 minutes she yelled, "Let's go!" I didn't have my shoes on, teeth brushed, or my hair combed. I thought my mother wouldn't leave, even if she was the bus driver. Next thing I heard was the front door closing. I still didn't think she would leave me beacuse what mother would leave her child? I was wrong. She left as I was brushing my teeth. I ran out yelling, "You forgot me, Mom!" My mom beeped and waved as she drove away.
I knew then that my day was going to get worse. I had to go back in the house and wake up my dad to tell him that I missed the bus. He said nothing, but by the look on his face, I knew it was going to be a long car ride he told me that if I missed the bus again I would have to pay him $20 to take me to school. Since I do my chores for food not money, I knew I better not miss the bus again.y day was long because I knew I had to go home with my bus driver. When we got home I was afraid of the whooping I thought I would get. Instead, my mom smiled and said, "I bet you won't miss the bus again." I knew then she wasn't the mean bus driver as others have said.
