Skylars POV

The rain had finally begun to stop and the sun started to  shine  through the dark grey clouds. I enjoyed the rain because while listening to it fall while getting pampered made me relaxed and enjoy the time i was spending with Lilly even more. I really hadn't planned much for us to do over the weekend. I figured we could order in, watch movies, and gossip about life, and maybe go out to dinner and clubs but nothing was over the top, so I didn't mind that Blake had surprised me with this event. I just couldn't figure out why. I mean for crying out loud he rented out the whole nail salon so we could enjoy ourselves. I mean who does that. Well I guess Blake does. It was turning dusk out and I was so relaxed after having a mani and pedi and full body massage. My phone beeped again, “Get ready for another surprise. Hope you and your friend enjoy a smiling face.” What now? What does he have plans for? We gathered out things and made our way into the car. A few minutes later we pull up out of La Grenouille. What kind of fancy place is this? We walked inside and there was a gentleman standing there behind a podium. “Name?” he asked. “Skylar Wilson,” I replied. “Oh right here please come this way.” We were seated in the back corner, the lighting in this place was warm and soft with little candles at each table and booth. As we took our seats another gentleman approached the table with a bottle of wine and slowly poured it into the wine glasses. It was a smooth, refreshing red wine and by the taste of it and the name it sounded pretty expensive. The food was amazing. I ordered from the spring menu having ordered Saffron Lobster Bisque with Grilled shrimp. It was very good. How was i ever going to repay him for spending this amount of money on us. After we ate we decided to make our way back to my apartment. I could already feel the wine making me tipsy. Making our way inside and changing into pjs. Lilly already picked out a movie for us to watch “The Notebook.” I love that movie. What woman doesn’t? I decided while the movie was beginning to send Blake a text. “Thank you for everything today it took me by surprise, but I do appreciate it.” I never expected him to reply because that is just something he doesn't seem to do unless he is arguing with someone. A few minutes into the movie my phone vibrated catching me off guard. As I looked at the screen his contact and message appeared. “It was my pleasure and I hope you enjoyed the day.” This took me by surprise because honestly I never had expected him to be so nice and caring. I decided to send him a reply. “Never thought a person like you could be so nice and caring?” “You’re always so rude and cold.” I didn't know what came over me to reply the way I did but I was just getting tired of being talked down to all the time and it was finally time I said something whether it meant I lost my job or not. Someone had to let him know just how much of a dick he could be. Maybe this was the wine talking and maybe I would regret replying. “There is another side of me that I don't allow anyone to see.” And there it was another message like he was reading my mind. I decided to be a smart ass a little bit with him. “ Oh really i didn't know a person that can be such a prick to people had a different side.” Yep! I know i just lost my job. What the hell am I doing. This has definitely got to be the wine. “Wow what a smart ass Skylar i didn't know you had this in you to speak this way.” “You seemed so innocent when I hired you and now this.” “The way you make me feel,” is what the next message said. Lilly was so into the movie and on her phone that she didn’t even pay attention to me being engaged in the conversation with Blake, which was a good thing. I didn't know what to say back to him at that moment because as i read this message my face heated up. I didn't know what he meant by the way I made him feel. I put my phone down and started to watch the movie again. A few minutes went by and my phone vibrated again. I rolled my eyes and looked at the message. “Oh come on now don't go quiet and shy on me.” “Tell me how you really feel.” I replied to his message, “Thanks again for today i am trying to enjoy a movie with my friend so please go away.” “Oh one more thing I wish i could see the look on your face bet your night is ruined and you're now pissed off lmao.” As I sent the message I looked over and Lilly was asleep on the sofa next to me. I decided to go lay in my bed and watch tv making sure not to wake her. There was a guest bedroom but I didn't want to disturb her. I know she was tired from a really long day. It was nearly midnight and I was almost asleep when my phone buzzed. “Open the door and you will see my face.” I froze not believing what I just read, not wanting to move. But for some reason I started to feel drawn to him. I got up and slowly walked to the door, not wanting to wake Lilly. I opened the door and there he was standing right in front of me and I really couldn't believe it.
