Beware The Woods. [Drabble]

An eerie whistle was the first thing to set the couple on edge whilst they strolled though the woods.

"Hey Sam... Can we maybe walk a little faster?" Questioned Alex.

"Hm?" Sam tried to shake off the feeling of uneasiness they'd been feeling the last few minutes.

The teen felt something was off, but didn't want to worry their significant other. After all, it was probably nothing.

"Walk faster please?" Alex gripped their date's hand tighter.

"O-oh. Yeah, sure." Sam's usually calm demeanor was slipping despite trying their best to uphold it.

They walked in silence, attempting to prevent nerves from getting the best of them.

"Did you hear that?" Alex nudged Sam, using their other hand to point into the trees lining the woodland path they now walked upon.

Snap.

The two spun around, their hands unclasping, only for an overly sweet voice to startle them from behind.

"Ever been told to beware the woods?"
