The next morning.. Avani had woken up to the Mattia peacefully sleeping she smiled just sitting there admiring him, a few minutes Mattia had spoken up saying

"Take a picture it'll last longer" he chuckled in his morning voice

Avanis face turned slightly pink while laughing

"How long have you been up sleepyhead " she said while cuddling her blanket

"Long enough" he grinned

Avani slowly got up as she picked up her phone and brang it to her bathroom she opened her cabinet took out her toothpaste and toothbrush and started brushing her teeth what she did not realise that Mattia had taken a screenshot of her , he smiled to himself. She got out the bathroom and said to the boy still cuddled in his blanket

"Goodbye tia go get ready "

" bye vanii see you at school" he said getting out of bed

They got off facetime and Avani got ready for the rest of the day . She put on blue light wash jeans with her shadow hill neon pink hoodie , slipped on her custom air forces and went down the stairs only to see her dad half asleep on the counter . She goes to the garage, gets her skateboard and leaves without even getting breakfast, too scared she might wake up her dad. She walks into the school and sees Mattia,

"Hey Mattia" she says walking up to him

He hugs her from the side and says

"Hi vani"

She smiles at his nickname as they walk to class. Mattia intertwined his fingers with Avani . She looked at their fingers then Mattias face who was slightly pink , she felt her face heat up as well . They walked into class still locking fingers , which earned them a vast amount of looks from the class. Avani shook off all the nasty stares she had gotten and walked to her seat Mattia right behind her. Class had started and Mattia was already dozing off

"Tia wake up"she said as she shook him slowly

He groaned and sat up straight . Class had just been dismissed for the last period bell. Avani and Mattia walked out of the school with his arm around hers . They talked for a few minutes then went their separate ways. However Avani was unaware that when she got home it would be the worst thing she had ever experienced. Her brother Jabez was supposed to be leaving for college today , a pain in her heart ached just thinking about how lonely she would be. A few minutes later she had reached home and saw a big red jeep , glistening in the driveway . She walked in the house only to see four men obviously not sober sitting on her couch. They were all dressed in black and had strict faces on. Avani gulped , as the lump in her throat remained not moving one inch. The smell of liquor and smoke added up making her mentally gag .

"Hiii hijaaa" her dad said slurring his words

They all started walking towards her, surrounding her in all directions , the smell of alcohol substantial , as all of a sudden she felt a sharp pain on her face and blacks out. She wakes up and sees ..
