Dear friend,

I truly believe you are the only person who will ever listen to me, whoever you are. Everyone thinks I'm not worth listening to mainly because I'm still considered a kid. I mean come on! I'm 12! People need to listen to the children and think more of us. They all say we fill our own heads with crazy accusations and stupid ideas. One day it all changed, and let me tell you about it.

It was a dark day, everyday, and it was my first day of school. The buildings were so close together that there were no buses that picked you up. Good for me. The bus is the place I never want to be in. You always end up next to some stranger who acts like you a piece of crap. They turn their nose up at you then sit down. I'm sorry but if you don't like me then why'd you sit down?! Anyways, back to earth. I've decided that walking to school is even worse, especially if your the new kid. People stare at you as if your from another planet. I've learned over the years to keep your head down and walk fast. It takes only a minute or two till I reach a small worn down building. I was surprised because there was no noise. No screams of happy children playing in the courtyard, not even the small whispers of rumors that are being spread fast. I open one of the two large front doors to find its just as bleak as it is in the inside as it is the outside. I'm truly am starting to think we moved into a ghost town. I find the office to ask where my classes are and they hand me a small paper.

I walk off towards the stairs and up to the next level where my first class was. I walk into the class and all eyes fall on me. I walk over to the teacher's desk and he doesn't even notice me. He had his nose stuck in a book... I cleared my throat to ask him where to sit. "Um... I'm the new girl and I was wondering where I was going t-"

He cuts me off," anywhere. I really don't care." I was shocked that he would cut me off, but I didn't think much of it. Maybe he is just a hard teacher. I shrug my shoulders and take a seat farther away from the other kids. They went back to what they were doing, all except one. It was a girl with long red hair like me and gray eyes. She turns to me and stares and me but says nothing. I try my best to ignore her but she starts talking, a lot.

"Your that new girl right? Mr.Cile said we were going to have a new girl."

"Mmhh."

" He's kind of mean but you'll get used to him. I've lived here my whole life as you can probably tell."

I was going to tell her to leave me alone when the bell ringed. Here we go...
