it was madison's first day of 2nd grade. she had just moved from florida to california with her mom, because her dad left her when she was 5 .
anyways, she didn't know anyone at her school, well,except her cousin, darnell .

darnell had many friends. He was basically the king of 2nd grade. everyone loved him, they adored him .

It was a bright, sunny monday morning .
"COME ON MADISON, ITS TIME TO GO!" my mom screamed across the house . Oh! i forgot to mention, im an only child and we have a 2 story house so it was kinda hard hearing .

"COMING MOMMY!"  i screamed, jumping up off of my bed in the process. grabbing my bookbag, i rushed out the door

getting out the car, i waved at my mother . "Bye mom!" i exclaimed. " bye sweetheart, be safe and tell darnell i said hello!" she said pulling off into town. looking up you saw the sign "kensington elementary school" you said to yourself . (𝖆/𝖓 𝗶 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘂𝗽, 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝗲🤭 )

walking into the doors, you automatically felt eyes on you. you nervously looked around looking for the 2nd grade hallways when you were interrupted by no one other than darnell .

"HEY MADISON! CUZZO C'MERE" Darnell screamed across the hallways causing multiple people to look at you . slowly but surely, you walked up to darnell and dapped him up."hey d-darnell, who are these people?" you asked asked unassure of the darkskin and lightskin boys hanging around your cousin. "well uhm, the dark ones name is Jackson and the lightskinned one is named derek, these are my best friends!" he said "and if you hang around me, you gotta hang with them too." he added. (𝖆/𝖓 𝘁𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲💀

"Ok, well as you know, Im Madison smith and i just moved here ." i said "well nice to meet you, Madison. i can tell were gonna be great friends" derek said. i dont know why, or how but i just know that me and derek are gonna get along fine . "hey darnell, if you dont mind i'd like derek to show me around ." you said with a pleading face . " okay, that fine i don't care" he said blandly . "OK, come on then derek "

i know we are only in 2nd grade but darnells cousin is really pretty, and she has a nice butt... i think i like her

walking down the hallway, derek stops you "Why did you ask for me to show you around, why not jackson?" he asked curiously . "because you give off good vibes" i said honestly "oh ok, thanks" he said. we continued to walk in silence until he stopped again! "yes derek?" i said wondering why he stopped again "can you be my bestfriend? also dont tell your anyone i said this but, hes kind of an ass ." he said secretly

"okay, we can be bestfriends forever!" i said while giggling . "you said a bad word" i whispered . " i know" he said. we laughed the whole way to class

"Do you really have to leave?" i whined. i had just found out that derek was moving to florida. " yea, im sorry ma ." he pouted ."c'mere and hug me mamas" i got and hugged him, as tight as i  could.

over the years, i had developed a crush on derek. . . thats the reason i was crying so much. i could never tell him tho, because tou know how all those stories go.the stories that say they dont feel the same eay and shit and then thier friendships ruined, i dont want that to happen with me and derek so i wont ever tell him

"well do you know when you'll come back or when i will see you?" you asked still hugging the boy . " nah mamas im sorry" he said with pleading eyes . "well ok, i love you for infinity?" you ask pleadingly "i love you for infinity" ( 𝖆/𝖓  𝙖𝙬𝙬𝙬𝙬𝙬)

i dont know how she hasnt catched at rhis point, i really like her ... i liked her since the day i met her! That's why I call her all those pet names and stuff.... i guess she will never know....

both madison and derek weree depressed for months, because they both were going into highschool without their bestfriend...
ever since that day, they never saw their bestfriend and their feelings for each other went away . . .
