The silver knife hovered just above my skin, making my heart beat erratically. A hiss escaped me as the blade nearly scraped my skin as Ace drew it even closer to my throat. The curved part of the dangerously beautiful blade hugged my neck, the silver glinting in the sun.
"Let me go!" I spat, only for Ace to squeeze me tighter, chuckling as I struggled in his grip. His breathe brushed along the back of my neck making my skin prickle in unease.
"Shhhhhhhh. The fun has barely even started." Ace whispered in my ear. My throat dried at that as he ran the wicked silver knife gently across my skin. I inhaled sharply as an intense heat came across where the knife was, making me want to howl in pain. But I knew with that sort of movement, Ace would press the deadly blade against my throat tighter and only cause me more pain.
I've never been affected by silver... What the hell changed?
It may have something to do with the fact I suddenly reappeared... Sorry about that
My focus disappeared as I heard a familiar, angry voice.
"Let her go."
I looked over in the direction of the voice to see Spencer standing with his arms crossed tightly across his chest, a few mere yards away. He had a deep scowl set on his features as Ace snickered.
"Now, why would I do that? The fun has barely begun!"
I growled at that, only for Ace to sweep my legs out from under me. I dropped down to my knees with a grunt, yet Ace didn't stop there. He aimed a good kick to my ribs as soon as I hit the grass and I went sprawling on my side with a huff. My hair was obstructing my view and as I reached to move it out of the way, Ace bent down and grasped my face with a smirk etched into his features.
"Now... you all are going to listen to me. Or else your precious, pathetic excuse for a Luna gets it." Ace warned. Only silence met his words and a triumphant grin graced his lips.
"The way you came in Spencer and disrespected me, stripping me of everything I had and taking my mate without a second thought was ultimately the worst decision you have ever made to date."
Ace's hand moved to grab a fistful of my hair and harshly pulled my head back. A hiss escaped me at the sharp pain it brought and with his other, he held the dangerous silver blade to my throat.
Why the hell did they ever make knives in silver in the first place?
I'm not sure. Rather inconvenient for many if you ask me.
Spencer's face lit up with anger as Ace pressed the silver blade to my throat. My heart beat erratically and felt like it was going to explode out of my chest as Spencer's gaze flicked from Ace's face to mine and back. This went on for ten more seconds before he spoke.
"You see Ace... You should never play with fire." Spencer replied. His face now had no emotions present, he had thrown a stone cold mask on.
"And why exactly is that?" Ace scoffed in reply.
"You get burnt," I whispered hoarsely. I peered up at Ace and he looked down at me in bewilderment at my response. An impish grin escaped me before I quickly reached back and grabbed for his ankle, fury shooting through me.
Hot fire escaped my palm and the flames danced up his leg. Ace howled in pain, dropping the silver knife and loosening his grip on my hair to beat the fire out.
That was all I needed.
I lunged forward, a sharp pain erupting on my scalp as I ripped free from Ace's hold. I grasped the handle of the silver knife, a wicked smile coming over my features. I quickly rolled to the left and gathered myself to my feet.
