Chapter 6: The Guardians

We are now on the plane to Paris. Jiyeon isn't talking to me. I mean , she's beside N anyway.

You might be wondering why I tried to push her away so bad. I had another vision. CIA and Interpol were chasing us and they weren't really friendly. I just didn't want her to get hurt.

"You okay?" I turned to Hyuk. He might be younger than me but he's really full of words of wisdom.

"I just didn't want her to get hurt. I had to push her before it's too late."

Hyuk sighed and put an arm around me.
"But she was right," he said. "You were the one who asked her to come."

"But it was because of the proph---"

Hyuk put a finger up and continued.

"As I was saying, you asked her to come and she said yes because she wanted adventure and she wanted to, not because you forced her," Hyuk narrowed his eyes. "Whatever happens, it's her decision."

I looked over to N and Jiyeon. They were both sleeping. Soundly.

"You should patch things up. You like her, right? So spend time with her while you can."

We landed that afternoon and we were all surprised to see who we were looking for.

"N-ssi! Binnie! Hyukie!"

We walked up to a smiling guy wearing a cap and a poker faced guy.

"Ravi! Leo!" N greeted them.

Ravi is a bubbly guy. You would never mistake him for a Guardian. He has a special interest in caps. Back home, he has a walk-in closet just for his caps.

Leo, on the other hand, was a very serious guy. Even though we were all laughing, he still keeps a straight face. I don't know how they can stand each other.

"How did you know we were coming today?" I asked them.

"You're not the only one with gifts, Hong." Leo quietly answered.

Oh yeah. Leo and I are the same. We were Guardians but we belong to the Upper Twelve. The Upper Twelve are those who have special abilities like Ultra-bionic ears, mind reading abilities, Foreseeing things and very quick movements.

"Who is this?" Ravi asked, pointing at Jiyeon.

"Park Jiyeon. She's a friend of Binnie's." N said, giving emphasis to the words  'friend' and 'Binnie'.

Ravi shook Jiyeon's hand and Leo nodded in acknowledgement. They both know she was who was mentioned in the prophecy.

"I bet you guys are hungry," Leo said. "Let's go eat."

We walked to a restaurant near the airport and ate there. Ravi and Leo said that we don't have to check in a hotel.

"We have a house here," Ravi said. "We know we won't be going home for some time so we bought a house."

We arrived at their house and settled in some spare rooms. I was about to enter one guest room when Jiyeon did as well. She pursed her lips as if she was trying to stop herself from saying something.

"You go and take this room." I said quietly.

She nodded and I saw tears forming in her eyes as she passed by me.

Did I hurt her that bad?

She slammed the door behind her. I don't know what hit me but I stayed there, glued to the floor.
