"I thought you died." Meliodas blankly states, staring at his soulmate. The same soulmate he saw die before his very eyes. The same soulmate he couldn't save. The same soulmate who left him. The same soulmate who he loves. The same soulmate that died.

"HANA!!"

Standing. Right in front of him.

Alive.

Breathing.

Hana gulped, staying silent. She couldn't answer his question, she can't. She faked her death for a reason. She couldn't risk it. Since all she's done is all for him.

"Meli. . ."

She was a ticking time bomb.

And she couldn't harm him.

"I saw you die." He said nonchalantly, and yet there was a hidden tone underneath, "I saw you disappear right in my arms."

"Ne, don't cry. . . "

Meliodas was happy. She's alive, breathing, his soulmate mark of her is pulsing. He could feel their bond now. He was happy. He was supposed to be happy.

But he couldn't.

All those agony, despair, anger, madness, wrath.

He's at the peak of losing control.

Darkness threatening to come out.

Images of her dying that night.

Replaying in his mind.

"Meli. . . It's okay. ."

"I saw you take your last breathe."

"I saw you as your eyes went dull."
