As Amara headed to her room, she took another swig of her wine bottle. She took off her heels and thought about relaxing before the flight down to Earth. She was actually excited, before the news about Eric that is. See, Eric is an Angel hunter. He got too close to Amara once. They ended up dating, without knowing what the other was. You could say she was falling in love with him, but she ended it before she felt anything too serious. When the Angels were about to leave, Eric saw them cleaning their wings (Wings get very dirty believe it or not!). Eric became infatuated with Angels and even started hunting them for their feathers.

Once Amara got to her room, she decided she wasn't going to hesitate this time. If the time ever presented itself, she would have to do what was right.  She started packing her iPod and other personal things for the long flight down. She heard a knock on the door.

        "Yes?"

"It's me," Ludwick said as he stepped inside the room "I just wanted to remind you to be careful. And to give you this." Ludwick handed her a dagger. It was shaped oddly. The blade itself was curved upward, like a scythe. The detail on it showed souls being swallowed by flames, and on the other side showed souls going to the clouds.

        "Wh-what's this for?"

"Oh, darling. You know what it's for. Please be careful. You're the best Angel we have." Ludwick gave Amara a hug and left.

Well, if he's worried enough to give me a blade, I can't get too careless..

"Amara! Yo, you ready?" Alexcia appeared in her doorway. As Amara nodded, Alexcia went up to her. "Ludwik told me to watch over you. I don't know what that's about, but just know I have your back." She said with a smile.

"Thanks Alex. I appreciate it. Let me just use the bathroom and I'll be there in a sec."

                                                                                 ~*~*~*~*~

As the Angels prepared to take their flight, they were handed emergency parachutes. Amara was ready to let her wings soar through the chilly October night. They all let their wings out at the same time. The feeling was amazing. It felt like tearing through the skin, without the pain. Pain was replaced with pleasure, as one would stretch out a limb. There was always a tingly feeling, excitement, one could say, through the wings. As if the wings were alive and happy to be outside. The Angels stretched out their wings, getting up to a 50 foot wingspan. Amara's wings were pure white, with gold and red tips. Alexcia's wings were almost rainbow colored. Felix's were gray with black-ish tips. Angela's were blonde. Saturn's were cyan.

"Ready Angels?" The flight instructor shouted.

        "Ready!" The Angels shouted.

        "GO!"

As the Angels took flight, Amara was already setting in her ear-buds. As she listened to "Drown" By Bring Me The Horizon, she felt her stomach growl. Awesome, she thought. I should've packed a snack or something.

Saturn touched her wing, "Are you okay? You seem kind of.. off."

Amara nodded, "I'm fine. Just tired and hungry. Thanks." Saturn nodded and flew a few feet away. She knew he tried, which is what mattered. Once they got to Earth, they stopped for a quick bite to eat at Japan. They were fluent in all languages, which was extremely impressive. After the satisfying meal, they continued towards The States.

Once they arrived at The States, the Angels headed to California, where they would spend 3 months and another 3 in Oklahoma. Ludwik had apartments ready for them, so they wouldn't hassle with a hotel. Amara's room was 203, Alexcia's 204, Saturn's 202, Felix's 201 and Angela's 200. They all had the same floor, that way they can watch over each other.
