UNANG PAHINA: PAGBABALIK-GUNITA

Niale's POV

I woke up from a sudden clamorous noise coming from outside, I shooked my head from annoyance. It's probably from that couple who lives next to my condo, again. I heard that the girl cheated on him, and it's the second time this year. Love is indeed blind.

I snatched my shirt to put it on and went straight to the bathroom as their conversation continued. Bawat umaga na lang ganito. Ito ang isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit 'di ko na kailangan mag-set ng alarm sa phone ko para gumising. Ang sakit na nga ng ulo ko dahil sa hangover, dadagdag pa sila.

Directly grabbed my toothbrush as I heard that the boy is getting a little too emotional, I feel bad for him. My feelings became so blue as I remembered how my ex girlfriend cheated on me last week.

[FLASHBACK]

I glanced at the ring that my lolo Nyego gave me. Sobrang ganda ng singsing, I hope that she'll like it. I've been waiting here from time to time and I think that the owner of this karinderya is mad at me. Hindi pa ako pumipili ng food since wala pa siya, this place is also where we had our first date.

I even dressed for this special day, of course, it's our 4th monthsary. Almost all of the people here are staring at me, I hope that she'd be here any sooner. It's not that I'm embarrassed, its just that the owner looks really judgy. Feeling ko, literal na akong matutunaw dahil sa titig ng mga tao sa'kin.

The owner suddenly came inside their kitchen and talked with the crew. I'm sweating right now, not just because of the weather but also from the judgment, plus naka-facemask pa so it makes it even more hotter. One of their waitress unexpectedly approached me that made me feel confused.

"Sir ano daw pong kailangan niyo?" she asked.

"Huh? Wala naman po." I replied.

"So hindi po kayo o-order? Eh antagal niyo na po dito e." she irritatedly said.

"Bawal po ba? Hehe joke." I replied with a peace sign and chuckled after, nakakatawa naman kasi mukha ni ate, halatang inis na inis HAHAHA. I can see and feel how mad she is even though I'm not wearing my glasses.

"Sir hindi po ako nakikipagbiruan." Her face became fierce. Hala, hindi naman mabiro si ateng waitress, nagulat tuloy ako.

"Ay sorry po, may hinihintay po kasi ako. Nandito na po yun mamaya, just give me a few more time po." Sagot ko.

"Sir, di mo ako maloloko. Atsaka wag mo akong ma-english diyan! D-don't come if y-you not buy!" Sagot niya at may mga taong nagtawanan, nako, marami atang nakarinig. She glanced at those people who laughed and faced me again.

"KUNG JOWA MO MAN 'YANG HINIHINTAY MO, SANA MAGHIWALAY KAYO!" she continued and squeaked which gained lots of attention and left.

Some people are even filming with their phones, now I'm totally embarrassed. I can't help but to look down and act like nothing happened, I didn't expect her to yell like that. Thank God, I wear a facemask and face shield to cover, people can't see me fully.
