It’s now Tuesday and Taylor hasn’t left my house once. Majority of the time he sleeps in my room while I go about my daily routine. I need to go to his parents’ house to get his suitcase because he hasn’t showered since he’s been at my house.
I’m in the kitchen when I hear a phone start vibrating. I know mine is in the back pocket of my jeans, so I follow the noise to Taylor’s phone. On the screen is shows “Aunt Margaret”. I decide to answer it instead of waking Taylor.
“Hello.” I answer the phone and hold my breath.
“Hello, can I speak to Taylor please?” I hear a sweet woman’s voice on the phone ask.
I stand there in silence not sure what to say. “Taylor is sleeping right now. I can wake him if you want me to, but he hasn’t been up for a lot of conversation the last few days under the circumstances.” I blurt out unsure if I’m overstepping my boundaries.
“Oh, don’t wake him. Please let him know I called and that I’m taking care of the funeral arrangements. I have a couple questions for him, so if he can call me back before Friday. How’s he doing? Have you got him to talk about what happened?” Margaret asks.
“Not really. He told me about the plane crash, but other than that he’s been quiet. I let him sleep and try to get him to eat whenever I can.” I mumble, feeling like an absolute failure.
“Thank you, so much. We’ve all been so worried about Taylor and we didn’t know he was seeing anyone, so this will make everyone feel a little better.” Margaret replies. I can tell she’s started to cry.
“I’m just a friend. I’ll let him know you called.” I say trying to sound sympathetic.
“Thank you, dear. Can you also let him know we’re having a family dinner tomorrow night? We all want to see him to make sure he’s all right.”
“I’ll let him know. I’m sorry for your loss.” I respond and hang up the phone when I hear the line go dead.
It’s nearly dinner time and Taylor has only been up twice to use the bathroom. I decide now’s the time to go get this stuff from his parents. I find his keys in his pants pocket and pick up the piece of paper Taylor wrote the alarm code on.

I lock the front door to the Cassidy home and pick up Taylor’s suitcase. I walk toward the Range Rover and hit the button unlocking the car, then slide his suitcase into the back seat. I decided to walk to their house so I could bring Taylor’s car back to mine at the same time.
As I walk into my house I can hear the tv is on and I smell popcorn. I put Taylor’s suitcase against the wall of the entryway and head towards the living room only to find Taylor sprawled out on the couch in only his boxers. I instantly start to blush due to the fact that I can’t keep my eyes from racking over his body.
“Get up!” I nearly shout, but Taylor just stares at me with a hint of a smirk on his face. Damn boy knows he’s good looking. “I brought your suitcase so you have fresh clothes and your toiletries, so I think you need to shower.” I order as I point at the bathroom. Without saying a word Taylor stands up and walks past me to pick up his suitcase and then heads to the bathroom. I let out a sigh as I hear the shower turn on and turn to head back into the living room. Suddenly the bathroom door swings open causing me to stop in place and my jaw to drop open. Taylor walks out of the bathroom and heads directly toward me in nothing but his birthday suit.
“Do you have any clean towels?” He asks as he stops only a few feet away from me.
“Um, uh, I- yes. Drier. Yes, I will go get one from the drier.” I stumble through not only the words, but also with my feet as I try to move. I walk swiftly through the kitchen and into the laundry room. I pull on the drier door but can’t seem to get it open, that’s when I start to panic. There’s a naked man in the hallway in need of a towel and suddenly you can’t open a freaking door! I scream at myself. I stop, take a breath, and then pull the handle straight toward me letting the dryer door click open. Thank you God!
