Krist POV

While walking back to dorm, I was pondering upon why Nam is ignoring me. I tried calling her but she hardly talked. Since past few weeks it's been going like this. I had reached my home and went in to take shower to clear my head that was filled with all negativity. I decided to focus on P' Sing's words. I should not let these sort of thought get to me. I am trying but it's really hard especially when you are the one on the recieving end.

My friends have gotten the hint that something is wrong between Nam and me, this they see as an opportunity though. They want me to break off with her but I don't want to. Frustrated with my line of thought I decided to take a stroll in my car and to go to some restaurant. But I don't know much about good eating joints. I always let others decide but tonight I was all alone. Prem would know, he is a food monster.

"Hey Prem! Do you know any good restaurants to eat near our college." I asked him when he picked the call

"Are you alone? You can go to mofti, it's a nice restaurant. Do you want me to come? I am also near college or are you with your girl?" He inquired.

" No! I am alone, you can join. I just wanted to take a ride after dinner."

" You are in your car? Oh my! I am so coming for that ride with you." Prem said rather happy with the idea of taking a ride in my Audi R8.

I knew his love for cars. He was a collector himself. But still he couldn't get enough.

"Ok I will wait for you"

After a while, I entered the restaurant which appeared rather posh and well decorated. I soon realised the reason for it was the attached hotel. It appeared to be an elite one. I was welcomed by the service. I gathered the menu and waited for Prem to show up. I was starving so I thought of ordering. I had just finished placing my order when Prem joined me.

" You placed your order?"
" Yes. I did, I was starving."

He placed his order after. We were just discussing about our classes and assignments when I caught a glimpse of Nam. Initially, I thought I must have misunderstood but when I looked I saw her sitting rather closely with a guy. Prem must have noticed something on my face when he followed my direction. His face scrunched.

"I am gonna talk to her." I said
" No! It's not a good time, wait here, give her a call let's see whether she attends or not." Prem said. He appeared angry.

I followed his suggestion and called her but she didn't notice at first. The second time when I called her, she ignored my call. I could see it from where I was sitting. Now that got me. Why would she do it. I was about to get up, when I saw her moving with the guy to the hotel. I and Prem followed them, the guy stopped at the reception took keys and went upstairs. I was going to follow them when Prem stopped me for a second. He went to the reception and worked his charm and got the information regarding their room.

We followed them forgetting all thoughts about food. As I came in front of the room, I wanted to barge in. But Prem had stopped me warning me that it can turn into chaos. But I was forgone in my mind, I tried the door and surprisingly it was open so I tiptoed into the room only to hear moans of pleasure. They hadn't seen us in as I was not fully inside.

I was shocked and rooted at my spot when Prem dragged me out of the room silently. and took me back to the car. He went back inside. I don't know why he did but after seeing food packets in his hands, I soon understood. All my heart could understand was my friends were right all along. She was really not in love with me. I cried clutching my heart that was filled with pain. Prem hugged me but all I could feel was prickles of pain constantly stabbing my heart. I was devastated at the situation.

" Shhh...Krist. you're better off without her and you know that. We are here for you. Let's get out here." Prem said softly.

He drove the car without uttering anything  anymore. That's what I remember of that night. The night when I understood that Nam never loved me.
