***Aurora's POV
The stronger half of me screamed to stay and hide but I knew that I had to do something otherwise we would both die, as my friend seem completely oblivious to the organized chaos around him.
I took a moment to compose myself before I lunged out of the bushes and onto him, shielding him from their bullets and tranquilizer darts. A bullet hit me in the shoulder, narrowly missing my head.
I screamed.
Just before I am about to pass out from the agonizing pain I allow myself to transform. My muscles begin tearing, bones cracking, the pain is unbearable as my neck, face and legs stretch.
Finally my hands and feet harden to form hooves.
As the blood of the beast enters my veins I release a bloodcurdling scream and in response a shower of darts cover me, pumping their poison into my bloodstream. Enraged, I charge them but I make one fatal mistake, I am not used to my new form and stumble.
My legs collapse beneath me and I tumble onto my side, rolling towards a group of them.
Frightened, they scatter but I manage to take out a few of them before I come crashing to a halt after smashing into a tree.
I raise my head, prepared to fight when suddenly a net is thrown over me, panic sets in as 10 men tackle me and pin down my head. Furious, I struggle violently as they inject something into my neck.
Throughout the commotion my guest had awoken and was staring, mouth agape as they inserted more and more tranquilizer serum into my body.
My vision begins to go blurry so in a last ditch effort I put up one last struggle and manage to kick the one holding my legs in the face and with enough force that he is instantly knocked out.
With my legs free it gives me the chance to buck off the majority of the men holding me down. Soon I am able to rid myself of the net but as I struggle to my feet the most dreaded sound reaches my ears.
They had called in backup and backup had responded, as we were now surrounded by 3 helicopters which all had blinding spotlights. I knew we were in trouble, they had been planning this moment for years.
The moment of my capture.
I felt the cold grasp of fear tighten around my heart, my lungs contract and I struggle to breathe. hesitate for a moment, calculating my options and thinking of strategies. Was it worth leaving him here? No, I had risked my life for him already,
