Siobhan woke up to the uncomfortable sticky feeling of sweat and being wrapped under such a warm but heavy blanket while the sun shone proudly through the window. Squinting her eyes, she tossed the blanket aside and swung her legs down from the bed.

Her feet landed on a soft carpeted floor and it immediately made her think since when had she carpeted her apartment. Walking half-awake, she accidentally knocked herself over a wooden dresser.

Huh, funny. I never bought a dresser from Etsy. She thought.

But everything started to sink in, like a tsunami wave crashing into Siobhan bringing her into sobriety. The rain. Meeting Nick. His proposition. Her staying at his place. This caused things to stir up in Siobhan making her fret and panic.

Her eyes scanned the spacious room for her clothes, they were missing from the couch where she had carefully placed them last night, and at once she knew there was only one person who could've taken them.

Furious, she made her way downstairs, marching in rhythm with flaring nostrils like a drill sergeant. She was halfway down the stairs when she spotted a maid cross the hall carrying a tray of baked goods that made her mouth water as soon as the smell hit her flaring nose.

Siobhan decided to follow the girl, hoping that she would lead her to Nick while she practiced in her head what she will tell the nosy gang leader.

The maid did lead her to Nick. He was lounging at a table on a veranda with marble steps that led down to an Olympic-sized pool. The mobster's face lit up after he tore his eyes away from the newspaper in his hands and spotted Siobhan by the doorway, dancing around the passing house staff.

"Good morning, doll!" He grinned waving at her with the newspaper in hand, "Hungry? Join me for breakfast, on this lovely morning." He remarked waving his hand with the newspaper in it wildly.

Nick was wearing a black velvet bathrobe with golden embroidery on it, his feet with their slippers on were rested on the chair adjacent to his. His hair was a mess, which was something because he always looked so immaculate, and although he had a pair of pajama bottoms on, he did not have a top on because Siobhan spotted his bare chest peeking slightly.

She quickly averted her eyes away and attempted a stern face but whatever Siobhan had in mind that she was about to say to Nick was completely erased. Instead, she couldn't help but gawk at him. Despite seeing Nick in that state, she found him still as attractive the night she saw him under the rain.

"Where are my clothes?" She demanded, but it sounded more of a squeak.

"Oh, I've had them thrown out." Nick replied casually, returning to his newspaper.

"You what?" Siobhan yelled, furiously marching towards him, holding the band of the pajamas she was wearing because she found out that they had the tendency to slip down.

"You know, eradicated, destroyed, removed..." Nick replied.

He continued to throw out synonyms which made Siobhan more furious by each passing moment, but at the same time be amazed at how wide his vocabulary was.

"You know I don't have clothes!" Siobhan wailed, sounding more and more like a spoiled kid instead of a young lady who now have possibly lost her only change of clothes, "That jacket was Armani!" She added more miserably.

Siobhan found the jacket at Goodwill, although it was a little outdated and most probably not "in" that season, she was very happy she found it and only twenty-five percent of its original price.
