Dear Catherine,
Depression is an evil villain that started a war in your heart. It has torn you to bits and pieces and has made you hurt yourself and tried to end your life. It failed to end your life if you're reading this. I will win this bloody war for you. So you can be happy, so you can move on. These demons won't win. I will fight, and I will survive, so you can live.
My music will heal my heart, so yours can be happy and strong. I will write stories for others, so you can look back and smile at my work. I will fight the dark so you can sleep with no fear. I will keep in touch with our few friends so you can have a life to live.
I know I feel hopeless now, but you will have plenty of it. You will have a wonderful life, beautiful dreams will come to you at the end of every day, and you will be a beautiful young adult making their way through adulthood. I will fight fit all.
And whoever we become, will be a strong and amazing person. Sincerely,
