On The Way To School

*BEEP BEEP BEEP* I open my eyes and sit up. I look at where my alarm clock is and turn it off. I really don't like that sound, it annoys me.

I walk out of bed and get dressed like normal. Once finished I go to the kitchen to make some toast. Yes toast because toast is yum and is a breakfast food. I eat it leaving the crust because I don't like the crusts, like ew.

I check the time 7:15, I better leave now.

"Bye!" I yell out to everyone even though they can't hear me. I sigh as I walk out of the house. I walk to the bus station thinking about completely random things.

I get to the bus station and no one is here, I sit down at the bench and start to day dream, that is until a guy walks up from the same direction I was walking from. I don't get a look at him properly but he looks familiar. He then sits down next to me and I look down not wanting to make uncomfortable and awkward eye contact.

We both sit there for a couple of seconds but then he says in a soft quiet voice "Hey."

It's a familiar voice. I look up and realise that it's Dan, he's looking down at his feet.

I smile and let out a small giggle, I say "Hello. How are you?" He looks up at me and smiles back.

"I'm fine, you?"

I reply back without delay "I'm great!"

We sit there in silence for a bit, it's quite awkward but then we both hear a loud beeping noise. I look up to see it's the bus. We both stand up and walk up to the door, Dan goes in first then me. I watch as Dan sits down in a seat by himself.

I look around the bus there are no seats anywhere unless I want to sit next to someone I don't know, but that would be awkward.

I look around and spot Dan looking at me. He sees me looking at him and he looks down at the seat next to him then back at me. I slowly walk over to him and stop next to the seat.

"Do you mind?" I say pointing to the seat.

Dan shakes his head, "Sit there if you want." I sit down and sigh.

Well this is awkward but at least I'm next to someone I kinda know rather than not know at all.

Dan and I stay sitting there in silence, the sound of laughing from others all around us. The bus stops and the next stop and as the doors open I hear the all too familiar voice. Joey.

I watch as he walks onto the bus and walks up to me.

"Hey look the new kid's sitting next to the loser!" Joey says and laughs.

I notice that Dan looks down and his breathing becomes heavier and slower. Is he okay? Is something wrong?

"Look Joey just leave us alone." I say annoyed.

"Whatever losers!" He says and continues to laugh as he walks away. I roll my eyes and sigh.

Ugh Joey's so annoying and he's such an idiot.

"Thanks." Dan says quietly still looking down.

"You're welcome!" I say with a smile. "Anyway so... do you like school?"

Dan looks up at me and replies "Sometimes, I like some stuff but not everything." I nod.

"Agreed. They really just need to get rid of some subjects."

Dan laughs "Defiantly."

We continue to talk the whole way to school. We actually have heaps in common.

Hmm maybe we could become friends...

AN: Finally another update! *YAY* Its been so long... like 6 months. I'm sorry I've been really busy and I always get really stuck for ideas. (I'm also sorry this is pretty short.) I promise that I will try to update quicker next time.
