"Get away from my kid, you demon brat!" The toddler, clad in orange, hissed holding his now bruised cheek. A moment ago, he saw a small girl, with pretty, pink-colored hair, and he thought to make new friends. But that all changed, when a man struck down on him, claiming to be the girl's father. Another one, he thought solemnly, he returned an emotionless look to the man's red face, and to the girl, cowering behind her dad and carrying a confused, yet apprehensive look on her face.
He staggered, and painfully, pushes himself up, from the ground, ignoring his stinging face. Against what anyone would do in this situation, he bows politely to them and walks away, all the while, pretending that scornful look directed to him, didn't hurt. But it did, he may pretend that it doesn't hurt, every day that hole in his heart grew bigger until he couldn't feel anything. Love would be too foreign of a feeling, to mend his heart back together, at this rate. Every day, hour, and, second. He's always inching closer to the edge of a cliff, about to fall in a sea of permanent suffering. He looks up at the sky, a canvas of red, orange, yellow, and blue colors meshed together to create a fleeting art piece.
he rushed to see his Jiji, he'll be sure to make him feel better, he thought. He veers out of the way of passersby, who made time to shout curses at the 'demon brat'. He still has no idea, why he was called a demon, he knows that's what high-ranking, ninjas, are called for effortless kills on the battlefield, but it was more of a means of a compliment to them than it is for him. He'll have to ask his Jiji, about that when he'd arrive at the Hokage tower. He picks up speed, not wanting to hear any more insults, that the villagers had for him.
Entering the building, he raced up the stairs, running down the hall, to jiji's office. He took a breath in and out, placing a hand over his heart, attempting to calm his heavily beating heart. He rose his hand, standing on the box, to knock, "Why do you insist to keep that boy around, Hiruzen," a deep voice, bellows out, inside of jiji's room. Thinking it would be rude to knock, instead, he listens to the conversation, spoken.
"He's here, only because he holds the Kyuubi," Jiji responds blandly, he can hear the faint familiar sounds, of a pen, scribbling away the pile of paperwork, that always finds a way onto his desk.
"Hiruzen, I know you, you care about the boy because he's the fourth's son," the deep voice chastised Jiji, "You feel obligated to care for him because he's the fourth's son, I know he told you to care for him, but why should you care for something, that's a menace to this village?"
"You misunderstood me," Ji-ji responds icily, the scribbling becomes louder.
"Oh really, what part of what I said, was inaccurate? Don't play me for a fool, Hiruzen, I had decades to figure you out," The deep voice scoffs, "You're nothing but a pushover, who can't refuse a dear friend."
"I don't feel obligated to do anything," Jiji harshly says, "He is a weapon, and nothing else."
"Lies.. that is a lie and I know it, I know you care for that boy!" The deep voice gruffly yells out, but it didn't hide the emotion of shock out of his voice, "To you, everyone in this village is family, you fully embrace the will of fire, so stop trying to discard them as mere tools, because that is not how you think!"
"That was just a facade, to get everyone to trust me as their Hokage, I even fooled Tobirama-sensei, even though I was twelve at the time, I don't give a damn about this village, I only want to stay in power," Ji-ji continues.
The man was caught off guard, there was a short pause before he sneers, "Power!? Really Hiruzen, you must think I'm stupid to believe that you'll ever choose-"
