Varchie Goes Camping

Summer After Sophomore Year

Veronica's POV

I have just finished packing up my duffel bag in my room in the Pembrooke, my mom and dad were out at some business meeting as they called it, but I know deep down that they are probably up to no good once again. So, it was just me home right now. I zipped up my duffel bag, grabbed a sweatshirt out of my dresser and my purse and opened my bedroom door and made sure to shut it behind me.

I told my mom and dad that I was going to spend the weekend over at Betty's, little do they know my Archiekins is taking me camping! I'm super excited to just get away, just him and I! It has been crazy the last 9 months with us first meeting and beginning our relationship, with Jason's death and case all while trying to push through sophomore year. So, Archie suggested to me a few weeks back that we go camping for a weekend in order to get away from the crazy town of Riverdale for a even just a short amount of time.

I walked down the stairs of the Pembrooke and went over to Andre.

"Andre, would you please give me a ride over to Betty's house, please?"

"Absolutely, Miss Veronica!"

And with that being said Andre and I walked out of the Pembrooke and got into the black sedan and we were on our way to Betty's or so that's what I told him.

Archie's POV

It was early Friday afternoon, one of the first weekend's of summer and I was downstairs on the couch just strumming my guitar as I waited for Ronnie to get here. I surprised a few weeks back and told her I wanted to take her camping once summer break got here. So, we planned for it to be this weekend especially because her parents were away for some business meeting. It's always so hard to go away like this with Ronnie with her dad breathing down my neck.

*Knock Knock*

Speaking of Ronnie that must be her! I put my guitar down and into it's case and shut and locked it. I got up and opened the door to my smiling Girlfriend's face.

"Archiekins!!" She said as she dropped her duffel bag on the porch and jumped into my arms, her legs wrapped around my waist as she started kissing me. Our kiss started to get really heated, so I broke away quickly...

"Mmmm..Ronnie...stop for a second"

"Why Archiekins!?"

"I have to grab your bag off the porch just give me a second. As I leaned out of the door and bent down to pick up Ronnie's duffel bag with her still wrapped around my waist. She started to kiss and suck on my neck..

I tried to suppress a groan but I couldn't.

"Oh god, Ronnie! Mmm that feels so good!" I said

I felt her smile against my neck as she pulled the shirt to side and started to kiss my shoulder.

I came back inside and shut and locked the front door and dropped her duffel back to side. I slowly walked us over to the couch and laid Ronnie down on it. I crawled on top of her and she finally stopped kissing my neck and looked up at me and smiled.

" I missed you, Archiekins!" She said

"I missed you too, sweetheart! But, we have the whole weekend to spend together!" I said

"I know I'm so excited" she said

I then leaned back down to kiss her, things started to heat back up. I could feel Ronnie trying to take my shirt off, so I sat up for a minute and pulled it off. As I pulled it off I felt her roaming her hands up and down my abs.

"Mmm...I love these so much Archiekins." She said

I just laughed and went back to kissing her.

45 mins later

Veronica's POV

After an intense but lovely make out session with Archie. We both decided with it nearing 2pm and with a almost 2 hour drive ahead of us to our campsite that we should get on the road so that we can arrive and set up our tent and campfire before it gets dark.

I grabbed Archie's hand and he grabbed both our duffel bags in his other hand and we walked out to his truck. I got in the passenger side as Archie put our bags in the bed of the truck. After a minute he got in the driver's seat, turned on the truck and we were on our way!

1 hour later...

Archie's POV

I was cruising along a small stretch of highway and had some nice 80's rock and roll playing at a soft volume. Ronnie fell asleep a little over a half an hour ago. I glanced over at her quickly and smiled at the sight. She had her head up against the window and a small blanket on her upper body.

I had the A/C blasting in the car because it was warm outside, so she must have gotten cold. I then took one hand off the wheel and slowly rubbed up and down her jean clad thigh. As I did this I heard Ronnie start to awaken.

"Mmmm....Archie...where are we at?"
She said.

"We are about 20 mins away from the campsite, Ronnie." I said to her

I wanted to wake her so she had enough time to feel really feel awake for when we arrive at the campsite soon. I'm gonna need some help getting our area together with the tent and all.

She smiled and leaned over to give me a quick kiss on the cheek as I continued to drive. After a few minutes I noticed Ronnie scrolling through her phone as I our trek to the campsite was nearing to a close.

After about twenty minutes I pulled into the campsite which had a long dirt road I had to drive on to get to where the woods were and we could find a suitable spot for our campground for the weekend. I saw Ronnie look up from her phone as she felt the difference in the road from the rocks on the dirt road and she smiled.

"Yes! We are finally here!" She said

I just laughed and shook my head at her comment.

After driving down the dirt road for five minutes, I finally found a spot to park the truck. We both got out and grabbed our duffel bags, I grabbed the tent and cooler of food as well. We began walking into the woods to find a nice to spot set up camp.
