" I apologize very dearly, JoJo.. " his voice was hoarse, tired, and weak. He could barely speak at all, and can only force himself to do so which drains his energy, and his condition had been getting worse with each and every passing day. He did not look at his son as he laid bed-ridden. He can't. He couldn't. He almost had lost of all of his strength. He held his eyes softly shut and felt Jonathan's burning gaze boring through him. He knew he was at fault for letting Dio go by himself alone, unfortunately he had no clue about the strained relationship between them.

Jonathan had been staring at his father with eyes that held coldness, and anger. He was infuriated that this happened to his beloved, who had rested in his own room, just because his father had gotten ill. With a blink, he looked away for a moment with a quiet, deep hum of thought. A Cheshire's smile flashed upon his face for a second, before returning his attention to his ill father. " There's no need to apologize, father, " he kindly excused the old man with a soft-spoken voice. Oh, how much he hated to be so innocent to everyone's eyes. It was sickening. Mocking. But he knew, this act will get everyone wrapped around his fingers. Like a puppeteer pulling and controlling his puppets with his strings.

His bonds and relationships.

George gave his sweet son a smile, tiny but genuine, though Jonathan did not care for that as so he spoke before his father did, " I will go get the medicine for you, my father. If that is alright with you. " A gasp came from him, as his brows furrow and his lips curve into a frown. " JoJo, it is unnecessary.. I do not wish for you to get harmed, " a cough forced its way out of the old man's weak lungs, as his tired eyes opened to see his son's worried face. " My time has already come.. It will take time. I- " " Please, father.. " warmth wrapped his limp hand, as Jonathan had brought himself closer. " I will get the medicine.. and will come home unscathed. "

" Jonathan.. "

" Please. "

Silence made its way between them, as George stared into his bright and kind azure eyes that held worry and concern within. A sigh came from him afterwards, as he fluttered his eyes shut and let his head sink back onto the soft, plush pillow beneath him. " Very well then, JoJo.. If I can not change your mind, you will depart at noon.. I will tell Mr. Nandez of your presence- " " There's no need for that, father. " he gave his hand a squeeze to reassure him, and a smile drew upon his lips. " What about your archaeology exams..? " his father weakly questioned. " I will excuse my absence. Hopefully, they should understand the direness of this.. " He answered, voice ever still gentle and kind.

After a few more minutes, Jonathan had excused himself out of his father's room, as the old man had fallen into deep slumber. The gentle expression on his face was immediately replaced by something foul; his eyes glared at nothing, his lips curved into a scowl, and his brows furrowed from anger. Fortunately, no one was there when he walked through the long halls of the manor. But as he passed by a familiar door, he came to a halt and his expressions soften. He walked to the door, and made his way in without a word spoken. He approached the blond who had remained peacefully resting on his bed, as a smile had formed itself on the man's lips.

" Oh, Dio.. " he whispered breathlessly while his eyes took in the restful, silent man before him. " My sweet, precious Dio.. " He softly caressed his smooth cheek with a warm hand of his, chuckling as he shifted from his position and leaned against the warmth of his palm. He leaned down carefully to not wake him up, and lovingly kissed his forehead. " I shall not let any harm come your way.. "

Jonathan had left the doors once the hands of the clock sharp strikingly towards '12'. He wrapped his lengthy cloak around his large frame, and donned a deerstalker cap. He made his way to where his ride should be waiting, giving a silent nod towards his brave driver, as he opened the doors of the carriage. He walked in and shut the door, giving the signal towards his driver to proceed. The clops and trots of the horses were clearly heard as the ride had ventured onwards to London. He glanced back at the manor disappearing before his eyes, breathing out a silent sigh before he looked back ahead.
