I hurriedly went from shops to shops to find a gift that suits my loving husband, Arthur Rosales. He's a very picky man, I mean- he always wants the ones with great qualities and price.
He and I went way back 5 years ago but just got married last month, though I only saw him again on the third week. Even though we are already married, it just feels as if we are still on the boyfriend-girlfriend term given that our status is the only thing that just change after marriage. For goodness sake! We haven't done what married couples would do AND we haven't even had our honeymoon!
After going through about 15 shops, I decided to gift him a limited edition watch of Jaeger-LeCoultre. I immediately walked to pay as I fished out my phone out of my bag and texted him.
While waiting for his reply, I could feel the gaze of the people around me and even hear their gossips
'Is she the bastards of the Chua?'
'She has nerves buying from such expensive store using her father's money'
'Well, what can we expect? She's like that prostitute mother of her'
Hearing those made me turned my eyes towards the desk of the cashier. My mind suddenly went blank as I felt drowned by their cruel gossips.
"Keep your head up, princess" I looked up to see a man who has thick raven hair with a pair of mesmerizing chestnut brown eyes staring at me and has a defined and strong face that rivals Calvin Klein models.
'fuck' my inner thoughts interrupted.
His dark colored eyebrows slopped downwards as his mouth curved into a smile which showed a dimple on his right cheek.
"Handsome?"
"Huh? Who?" I replied immediately.
"Me" He let a laugh out and made that smile once again.
"Miss? Miss? Eh- Ma'am.."
"Ah! Yes?" My head turned to the cashier lady.
I did not noticed that it was already my turn to pay.
The guy chuckled as his hands went to reach my head and placed a gentle pat. "See ya, princess!"
"Uhmm ma'am? Cash, credit, or debit?"
"Well-uhm-Cash, here" I stammered as I handed the cashier lady the payment .
"Ang gwapo niya po niya, ma'am noh?" I turned my head to the cashier lady with my eyebrows raised.
"H-ha?" I asked.
"Ay! I'm sorry po ma'am, I thought po marunong kayong mag Tagalog! Ay, I mean po I thought you know how to speak Tagalog" She hurriedly said as she looked at me with embarrassed eyes.
"You don't need to say sorry kasi marunong naman akong mag tagalog" I said and let out a small laugh.
"To answer your question, he's just an okay looking but I'm not interested though since I've got my man already" I raised my left hand showing her my fourth finger.
Lies Patricia, that man was freaking hot
Goodness! This is so awkward! I've almost forgotten that I'm married. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks.
I checked the time and saw that it's already 7:00 pm. Fudge! I just went out to buy a gift then it just got this late. I hurriedly opened my phone to see for messages specifically from my husband, but to my dismay, I never got even one message.
