"Hey guys wait up!!" she was catching up to her peers. They looked back in annoyance.
"Well maybe if you could walk faster" Scoffed a guy in a yellow beanie and green hoodie.
"Shut the fuck up!!" Giggled the other in gym shorts
"Hey did you guys feel the earthquake last night?" she said trying to catch her breath
"nope I didn't feel anything" said one "yeah Kiara, I didn't feel anything either" followed the other
"Well it was pretty late I guess, but it was definitely strong"
"You know what else is gonna be strong? That look the professor is gonna give us if we're late" said the guy in the yellow beanie.
They continued on their way to the classroom. Kiara always sat in the back even though she had bad eyesight. Demitri and Ryder were heading near the front of the classroom, when finally the professor got up from his desk. He stood in front of the classroom and turned on the projector, only for the slide to say "Communism".
"Good Afternoon everyone! Today we're gonna talk about why communism can be good!" He said with a grin.
Half of the class looked dead and the other half were practically walking zombies that listened to anything the professor would say.
"Oh god here we go again" Kiara face palmed before checking her tinder notifications to see if she'd matched with anyone else. It was someone named Jamie.
"Ugh J's have never done me any good" she set her phone down and began paying attention to the lecture.

The professor ended lecture early that day because he was called into the Dean's office of student and teacher violations. He picked his things and left looking very worried.
"Hm I wonder what all that was about" asked Kiara
"He must've been fucking with one of his students" blurted Demitri. Ryder nodded.
"Hm well I'll see you guys next week if he comes back" she waved bye at them and they waved back before turning to each other and laughing.

When Kiara was waiting at the bus stop near the college, she decided to check her dating apps once again. There wasn't any one who really caught her eye. She remembered about the earthquake from the night before and decided to look up the magnitude of it. When she looked it up there weren't any recent earthquakes marked.
"Hm... that's funny, I definitely felt something" she got a shiver down her spine and decided to ignore everything that had happened.
