chapter 12

I decides not to tell harry about the paper yet. i dont know what i was waiting but I really dont know how to tell him, where nor when. i didn't know anything I was really confused. how do you tell a person that he's going to get electrotherapy?

"It's time for the shower ladies follow me to the ladies room and the men with their gaurds to the men's room." The nurse Shouts as the gaurds unlock our cells allowing us to get out and follow the lady.

"Uh finally a hot shower it feels like I haven't had one in forever" Vicky sighs walking beside me along with the other patients.

"Pretty sure the water will be unclean"

"Kailey, don't be so negative about everything, it's not that bad" she hits my shoulder jokingly and I just nod with an okay.

"They're not letting their patients die dirty in here that's nice of them" I hear harry's familiar voice so I look to my side to find him. and i feel a sting in my chest. should i tell him or not?

i decide against it.

"What are you doing here aren't you supposed to-"

"The men's shower room is right next to the ladies' " he explains and I look behind me to find the rest of the male patients walking along with some few guards.

We reach our destination, two doors had signs of females and males each. The nurse stood in front of us and gave us the instructions and how long we will stay in there.

We get in and it consists of many stalls next to each other each one is closed with a grey curtain. I get inside one of them and start to take off my clothes and put them on the clothes hanger.

A few seconds pass and the warm water begins to pour out of the shower down my body making my muscles relax and making me forget about the many loud thoughts I've had for a while.

I hear Vicky singing from the stall beside me and I can't stop but laugh at her voice and how she tries to mimick the tunes of the song.

I close my eyes as water falls on my head and the rest of my body when suddenly it stops

Out of nowhere, the water just stopped and I thought time was up but when I'm about to turn around to ask the nurse, the water comes back again but this time it felt hot as if it came from the depth of hell. I let out a short scream as the boiling water drops hit my body making me pack away from it quickly.

I grab the towel hanging on the side of the wall making sure I don't let the water touch me and I get out.

"The time is not over why did you get out?" A nurse stands up from her chair as if I was about to run or something.

"Something is wrong with the water" I try to explain.

"Oh my goodness! what happened to your back?" She walks towards me and puts her hand on my back examining it and I wince when she touched it.

I look at my shoulder and it's slightly red due to the hot water. the nurse leaves for seconds then comes back to pour some cold water on my shoulder and it stings. she then wraps a gauze loosely around my shoulder and gives me another clean uniform to wear.

"Kailey get up"

"what? but it's not lunch time yet"

"yeah I know but someone's here to visit you"

"but jesse, isn't the visits day on friday?"

"the new system for this place is that family members and friends can visit at any day of the week so it doesn't have to always be on visits day"
