Adelaide!!!! Take Cerberus for a walk will you??? Dad hollered from somewhere in the castle.
"Dad!!! I'm busy!!! Anyways he can only be controlled by you!" I shouted back as I adjusted my dress properly.
"Adelaide!!!!" Dad answered back in a voice which was supposed to be angry.
"Dad!!!" I replied mockingly.
"Now, Adelaide you very well know I have many important things to do and I can't take
Cerberus for a walk so you have to do it. You know me being a God I have many tasks to complete. Many souls to seal and other stuff......" Dad said upon entering my room.
"Okay, okay. Don't start off again. I'll do it. But you owe me big time." I replied lifting up my dress and walking toward to door.
"That's my girl." Saying this, my dad walked out of the room.
Everyone here must be thinking who is my father and who am I.
Right?
My father is Hades, the God of Underworld and I am Adelaide his daughter.
And my mother is of course Persephone.
Isn't all this so amazing????
Not.
Can you imagine getting up every morning and then walking over to your window in hopes of hearing birds chirping and the golden sun showering you with its warmth but getting creepy smiles of lonely souls and the flying of black birds above giving you goosebumps.
Isn't it lovely? Oh I enjoy it every morning.
"Adelaide! Can you come heed dear? I want you to do something for me." My mother, Persephone called out as I passed her room on my way to Cerberus.
"Yes mum? What is it?" I asked entering her room.
There's one thing about my mother. She's really beautiful. I mean breathtakingly beautiful.
She is tall, beautiful, with pale skin, flowing, and curled black hair, and wearing a white dress, which, in fact, was actually a colorful dress, though the colors have been washed out.
Although she was beautiful during the winter, it seemed like she would be more so during Spring. Her eyes were multicolored sometimes but also appeared washed out, as if the Underworld had sapped her life force
Mother smiled at me and waves her hand in the air making a bouquet Of underworld flowers create out of this air. Even though I've seen her do it many times, each time it took my breath away.
"Dear since you are taking Cerberus for a walk can you give this to Charon? He's been doing a well job guarding the door of underworld and your father and I wanted to appreciate it. Even though he loves drachmas more he is still greedy and I hate that."
She handing the flowers to me as she spoke. I nodded smiling back and then gave her peck on the cheek.
"Oh and give this to Cerberus." She spoke just as I turned to go and then handed me an apple. I looked down at it warily.
"Mom... I don't think he'll eat this..." I spoke slowly.
"Oh your right. I keep forgetting he's not a normal dog. Well anyways just deliver those flowers okay? And return soon we have to attend a dinner." She replied nodding her head before getting up and giving me a hugs which I returned.
I turned on my heels and walked out of the castle with the bouquet in hands.
"Cerberus! Come here boy!" I whistled and called out to the three headed dog.
He or more like his three heads barked and then bounded up to me.
"Hey boy. How are you?" I asked him petting his heads. Cerberus wagged his table and nudged my hand with his middle head.
I laughed and walked with him around the castle.
Soon after his walk, I left at his place near the castle gate and took a ferry to the entrance of the underworld to deliver the flowers.
"Hey Charon." I greeted the ferryman.
"Hello mistress. How have I had the deadly honor to meet you?" Charon greeted me bowing at my arrival.
"I just came to give you these flowers from dad and mum. I have absolutely no idea how you are going to make use of this but anyways. How you have a deadly day!" I spoke with a smile and handed him the gift.
Waving once I turned of my heel and walked towards the castle.
"What the hell?!?!" Was the first thing I heard when I neared the castle.
Oh my hades...
