Albert's pov-

I was crying on the ground. Confused. Stressed. I couldn't handle it anymore.

I wasn't like Kaden, I knew that self harm wasn't necessary. Even if your in so much pain. I knew that it was unhealthy. I never was depressed either. Yeah, I had my  days, but like the next day I was a bundle of sunshine.

"Why, so, you guys are really "friends"?" She looked at Kaden. "Leave him out of this." I mummbled. "But Al-" He looked at me, sadness in his eyes. "I said, get out of this." I said calmly as I could.

Kaden's pov-

I wanted to help him. He wouldn't let me.

I could help. I could be a hero, a good person. Anything. For anybody.

Especially Albert.

"Oh, please. Let him stay, son." That was the first thing his dad had said about me. "I don't want you hurting him." Albert's voice cracked.

His parents laughed. Albert stood up, and came to me. "Al, let's go to your room for a sec." I whispered in his ear. "O-okay."

stop. Just stop. I know what your thinking.

"Al, I want to protect you at all costs. That's all I want to do." I reassured. "I know, but you don't need to protect me. I can protect myself." He said seriously.

I felt like I had been stabbed. When he said that, all I could think was.

I will never be a good person.

Never a hero

Never a helper.

Nothing.

That's all I was.

"Please Albert. Let me help you for once in your life! It's always you who helps me, why can't I help you? Am I too weak too you?! Am I not-" He interrupted me. "Kaden your enough. Your my everything. Your not weak. Your amazing. You can help me, but these are my problems, and I want you safe. I don't want you hurt.  I don't understand why you have to think those things. I don't get it." He said.

He walked out of the room, closing the door on me.

"Wait- please.." I whispered.

When he got back downstairs all I heard was screaming, crying, and cries for help.

No. I'm not litsening to Albert. I will help him.

And there's nothing he can do.
