Chapter Ten

Cassian still had not left Nesta's side, and it was taking a clear toll on him. Although it was only noticeable if you saw him everyday, you would see that his skin was paler than usual. He had slight bags under his eyes, showing just how exhausted he was. He was on the verge of falling asleep when he opened his eyes, and he looked at Nesta in shock. 

Her eyes were open. 

As open as she could get them that is, but her eyes were open none the less. 

And when Nesta's eyes locked with Cassian's, he could see her surprise, her confusion, her...pain. 

There was so much pain n her gaze. 

Cassian didn't know he was crying until he felt Nesta's cold hand against his cheek. 

All it took was one word for Cassian to hug her tighter than he'd ever hugged anybody before. 

"hey..." 

A/N; hey, I'm so sorry for the wait, I had so much school work to get through, because teachers seem to think my brain can work, and I've also had lots of writers block, so again, I'm sorry. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and I'm sorry for all of the tiny paragraphs.
