I Just Wanted To Get Some Coffee

"Shit, we're out of coffee." I could've sworn I just bought some last week...maybe I should keep track of how much I drink, I can't keep buying this stuff every week.

I walked out of the kitchen and to my roommate's room.

"Hey Yui, I have to go to the store for coffee, is there anything you need?" I'm met with silence. I don't think she heard me. She's been studying nonstop for a month now, she's always been a top of the class student in school, and wants to keep it that way.

"Oi" I pulled her earbud out of her ear, which worked because is now glaring at me.

"What do you need, you know I have to study."

"I said I'm going to the store, do you need anything?"

"Did you run out of coffee again?"

"...no" I said as I refused to make eye contact.

"Ah huh, then just get me some banana flavored hi-chew please." she spins around in her chair to face her desk again.

"Okay sure" I barely make it out of her room before she hits me with the kill shot.

"Maybe if you did not drink so much coffee, your stomach would not hurt all the time, and you would shit your pants less."

"Hey! I don't shit my pants! I only ALMOST shit them!" I say before I slam her door and head out. Hmph, as if I could stop drinking coffee that would be like telling a person to stop breathing.

It is a Saturday, so the streets are a little crowded as I head to the grocery store. Yui and I are second years in high school, and it's about time to take midterms, which is why she was studying so hard. We have been living together since we started high school because our hometown was a little far from our school. We are not super close but our parents kind of raised us together, so when we both got accepted to the same high school, Karasuno high school, with the approval of our parents to move out, we kind of just agreed to get a place together. It's not that I don't like Yui, it's just that she is always so focused on school and student council. Which is great..for her I mean, because I on the other hand, would just rather live life day to day. I don't really have a plan as to what I am going to do after I graduate, and I haven't really ever been passionate about school, I just do what it takes to pass. However, I wouldn't say I'm necessarily bad at school. But when we were little, I was always the one that got into trouble for being too reckless, while Yui was the one who would run to my parents when I was doing such reckless things. I wouldn't say Yui hates me either, I think she kind of keeps me in her life, as a source of entertainment sometimes. I can't really get mad at her for feeling this way either. A part of me only agreed to live with her because of her seriousness, which I can say has definitely helped me focus on school a little more than usual.

Should I get the caramel latte flavor or the americano? Hmmm, I wonder if I get the americano I will drink it less often, since I prefer the sweeter taste of a latte. But then wouldn't I just feel tempted to come back and buy the caramel latte one, which then means I'm spending twice the amount of money? Or what if I just buy two boxes of the caramel latte so I don't have to come back as quickly? ...but I would probably drink it more often if I knew I had extra to spar-

My thought process was cut off by the overwhelming amount of whispering and talking from all the girls in the store. My curious ass, popped out from the coffee to see what everyone was talking about.

Holy crap.

Two boys, two very gorgeous boys were here shopping, and I guess all the girls were freaking out. Although I've never been the one to seriously check anyone out, I will admit that one of them is definitely my type, I mean not that I have ever dated anyone before, but like if there was a type I liked, he was it.
