It was a day before the Yule, and everybody was busy getting ready. Witches would talk about dresses and make-ups they would be wearing and dates they would be having. Wizards were not all that busy really besides the professors of course, for they help organize the events.
Heather was at the common room. She was smiling widely at nothing only remembering how Fred asked her to the ball. Fred was her date, and that's a fact she still could not believe. Although where their relationship stands, she doesn't know. Stop thinkin', lass. Ye'll explode.
"Feather!" Fred called as Heather stood up a bit flustered. "Good morrow, lass!"
"It's still bad, Fred, your impression tha' is." Heather said, laughing a bit making Fred flustered instead.
"Your like a tomato, mate!" George teased pointing at Fred.
"Am I a good tomato, Georgie?" Fred asked looking at George.
"Oh, 'course mate!" George answered, nodding while eyeing Fred from head to toe. "Although I'm still better. Right, Feather?" George continued who was now looking at Heather mischievously. Fred's face went serious as he heard how George called Heather.
"George's better." Heather said as George raised both his hands in victory. Fred only nodded, pouting then he eyed Heather from head to toe.
What was that? Heather thought for a while then later on waved the twins goodbye to go feed hippogriffs once again (which was now her second favorite thing next to seeing Fred).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After feeding the hippogriffs, Heather walked on the hallways back to Gryffindor tower to fix her get up for tomorrow. She thought how weaker Fleetwing was getting. He doesn't eat a lo' anymore. Even skips a meal he does! Her thoughts were suddenly cut when an arm pulled her from the side. She found herself pinned to the wall by strong hands.
"Fred?" Heather asked, confused. "Wha's happenin'?"
"George again, huh?" Fred said now crossing his arms and pouting his lips.
"W-what?" Heather asked still confused while Fred leaned closer to her their foreheads touching. Fred stared into Heather's eyes. It was hard for her to focus, so she looked away. He smiled teasingly at her then held both her hands.
"Choosing another man as a better tomato besides me makes you a very bad girl, Feather." Fred whispered soflty. He leaned closer to her so that his lips were almost touching her ears. "Punishment time."
Heather felt her heart stop beating for a second. Her ear where Fred had whispered felt like it was burning. He wrapped his arms around her waist. He looked at Heather then smiled and leaned in closer. Heather closed her eyes. She was barely breathing then she felt warmth and softness land on her cheek.
"There you go." Fred whispered who still has his arms on her waist. "You bad lassie."
When Fred finally pulled away, Heather felt all the air go back to her. Fred turned to go, but he looked back at her and waved his hand.
"Need to do some pranking again." Fred said "Just went to see my motivation first." He continued smiling widely.
Heather looked at Fred. She felt quite lonely watching him leave. I need to prepare things too. She thought. Motivation... she smiled to herself then went on to catch up to Fred who was not very far. She hugged him tightly from the back.
"Motivation, aye?" Heather said, leaning on Fred's back. She could here his heart pounding mad. So he had the same beats as mine... She then looked up a bit and saw the mass of hair Fred has and got an idea.
"Fred, do you want me to do your hair for the ball?" She offered out of the blue. Heather Quigg you embarassing entity of mother nature! She thought.
"Pleasure!" Fred exclaimed, now facing her, as if he's never been so happy before. "But I really have to go right now." Fred said and kissed Heather on the cheek once again.
He turned his back on her putting a hand on his mouth. He would look back from time to time to look at Heather, and she was always there, smiling ever so genuinely. For one last time he turned to look at Heather again, but she was already walking away making him a bit sad, so he waited for her to look back, and she did. Then they both waved at each other and went their separate ways.
