By the time I got back inside it was already 4 in the morning. I lay in bed with my eyes wide open in the dark, replaying everything he said. A while later I was replaying everything we did together before we broke up; beach dates at night, hanging out at the overlook, laughing and joking around at the roof of the company building in the city while the sun set. How did all of that just go down the drain?

I pulled out my phone and hovered over Zion's contact. I hadn't called or texted since the day we broke up, and today was the first time I'd seen him since then. In the end, I couldn't bring myself to call him, so I went to sleep.

My sister woke me up at 1 PM, crashing into my bed with laughter and excitement.

"Shut up, Annie." I groaned. "My head's bout to explode."

"Yeah well it really will explode when I tell you who just called me." She giggled.

"Who."

"Edwin." She grinned.

"What?"

"He told me to tell you to call him asap." She shrugged. "But he still called ME."

I slapped her shoulder and reached for my phone. Twelve missed calls from Edwin and three from Brandon.

"Okay leave." I said. "I need to call him back."

"Please can I stay." She pleaded.

I sighed and FaceTimed Edwin. A couple seconds later, he picked up, eating a bowl of cereal. Annie squealed from beside me, way too excited to see him. She waved with a blushing smile. He waved back and she screamed and ran out of the room.

"What's up." I said, pulling my duvet closer to my chin.

"You're coming with us to Aruba." He smiled.

"What? Why."

"Music video." He said casually. "Brandon's sister's coming too. Congrats Kia you're gonna be in a music video."

"Uh." I hesitated. "I don't think that's a good idea."

"Z doesn't care." He shrugged. "Just a little pissed 'cause Liv couldn't come too."

"Liv?" I squinted. "Who's that."

"His girlfriend."

I sat up. "What? Since when?"

Edwin stopped mid-chewing, eyes wide. "Oh shit."

"Tell me."

Milk dripped from the corners of his mouth. "Like a couple weeks ago."

"Oh." My heart dropped a little. "Okay."

"I gotta go." He said slowly, his eyes still wide. "You gotta go too. Flight leaves in 3 hours so pack your shit and get over here."

"Okay."
