I wish it could have stayed
This feeling of love you gave
But now that it's gone away
I feel empty
Maybe it was never meant to be
The way we fought
the way we screamed at each other
it was clear it was all falling apart
at the seams
Maybe I was too harsh
Maybe your head was too
far up in the stars
Maybe I complained too much
to make you to want to leave in
such a rush
Maybe you were never satisfied
or I was too mean
even when you had
tears in your eyes
I hope whoever you meet
and takes my spot
can make you happy
more than I ever could
I hope you look at him with glee
more often than you did with me
