Ellie POV:
I woke up and got dressed I walked downstairs to see Archie and dad sitting at the table I walk to the Fridge and grab out a bagel and put it in the toaster Then I sit next to Archie. There was an Award silence. "So...Dad what do you think about the Serpents coming to Riverdale high?" I asked trying to strike up conversation Archie got tense "I guess it's okay as long as you keep jughead out of trouble. And try not hang out with them too much there a gang Ellie remember that. Look out for each other don't let the other get hurt,Okay?" He said and walked away grabbing his keys and heading to work.
"Okay" I soon as dad walked out I looked to Archie "what" "don't What me. When I mentioned the Southside serpents you got tense on a whole different level." I said getting up and grabbing my bagel.
By the time I finished my Bagel Archie had already left leaving me to walk alone I rolled my eyes "jerk" I mumbled
I pet Vegas and went upstairs to grab my bag just as the door bell rang I walk downstairs not really knowing who it could be I awnser seeing none other than the girl next door herself "Betty?" I say confused "uh Archies not here right now" I say as Vegas comes to the door to see who it is "I'm yeah I know I saw him leave. Walk me to school?" The f- "Um sure?"
Betty started going on about jughead joining the serpents and then coming to Riverdale high or Whatever Once we got to school we walked to the desk Veronica set up
Just then the Southside Serpents walked in Veronica looked up as Archie pushed me behind him a little "Friends.On behalf of the Students and faculty here at Riverdale high To ease this transition..." I almost laughed at jugheads unamused face, " We encouraged each and ever one of you to drink deeply from the cup that is fair Riverdale" she finished
Just then Cheryl came down the stairs with reggie and the bulldogs along with the. River Vixens behind her. " stand down Eva Peron" I look back at jughead "there is the school spirit I do fondly remember." He said crossing his arms.
"Cheryl no one invited fascists Barbie to the party." She said as Cheryl walked up to them "Wrong Veronica no one invited Southside scum to sour school. Listen up,Ragamuffins. I will not allow Riverdale highs above average GPA to suffer because of classrooms that are overcrowded with Underachievers" she said "Why don't you come over here and say it to my face" Toni said taking a few steps "Happily, Queen of the buskers." Cheryl said walking forward
Sensing a fight I go to walk in the middle as Archie says "Okay.....Guys Everyone can we just put our Northside Southside differences and start over? A new slate?" I stand next to my brother as Sweet pea and jughead look at me to make sure if there is a fight I'm not in it.
"You don't speak for the bulldogs Andrews. And need I remind you these greaser snakes showed up at your place trying to kick your a**" Reggie says to my brother "Happy to finish what we started" Sweet pea said As Jughead ,Fangs, and I held him back Veronica pushed in-between me and Sweet pea he looked down at her slightly upset that she pushed me away from Him
"I am so over the toxic masculinity in this hallway right now" She says "Same.....But with more normal words..." I say as she looks at me "Sorry" I mouth
"Alright that enough Pomp and Circumstances.Everyone,Get to class now." Weatherbee says Jughead walks and I follow seeing we have the next class together
"Jug, i don't want you and the Northsiders to fight." I say once we stop at my locker "I won't fight with them if they back down against the southside," "Fine. I'll talk to Reggie and Cheryl about toning it down a little, Okay?" "Okay and nice necklace" he said smirking as he motioned to the necklace he gave me I smile he goes to walk to class and I stop him "can I come after school? To the werm?"
"Ellie....No." "Please??" I begged "Ugh i hate you Fine but you can't tell Archie he will kill me" he said "Yay!"
