the offer.

I wake up to a blinding white light and immediately have to close my eyes. The sound of a heart monitor is the only thing I can hear in the room. A few minutes after I wake up I can hear a few pairs of footsteps. I groan as my brain finally wakes up.

???: "Y/n, you're finally awake. Now I have an offer that will change your life if you choose to accept it." He says, not skipping a beat.

Y/n: "What is this, another contract to go and kill? Why me?" I ask solemnly.

???:  "Well, we need someone with your skillset. But we could also make good use of the intel you have on the White Masks." He says with slight intrigue.

Y/n: "Okay then who are you?" I ask.

Six: "I'm Six, but you can just call me Harry." He says very casually.

Y/n: "Wait, you're six as in the head of rainbow?" I say, in partial shock.

Six: "Precisely." He responds.

Y/n: "Well then... You got a deal." I say, disregarding whatever harm I may put myself in front of.

Six: "Okay, then lets get you up and ready to go." He says, ready to leave.

I was escorted out of the facility by a really buff S.A.S operator and a short S.A.S.R operator. On the way to the helicopter I come to find out that the S.A.S guy is Seamus "Sledge" Cowden and the S.A.S.R guy is Max "Mozzie" Goose. They seemed like alright guys.

TIMESKIP HEREFORD BASE

Y/n: "I have a request." I say, gaining a glance from Six.

Six: "What is it?" He asks, listening intently.

Y/n: "I'd like my name to be kept redacted and I'd like to work alone." I say calmly, remembering my recent failure.

Six: "Your name will be kept redacted but I can't promise that you'll be working alone." He responds, straight forward.

Y/n: "That's good enough for me, sir." I respond, satisfied.

Six hands me a contract ant tells me to sign into become an official member of team rainbow. We then fill out my file and I sign the contract. 

Six: "Now then, once we're done in the meeting hall, I'll have Seamus show you around the base.

 He then tells me to follow him to the meeting hall so I do as instructed. When we get there he takes me up to a podium. I notice how everyone goes silent as we make our way through the crowd. Some of the girls couldn't take their eyes off of me. Then six walks up to the podium.

Six: "Attention everyone we have a new operator joining us today. There isn't too much information I can give you all about his background, but thanks to Grace, we were able to locate him. I expect you all to treat him like one of your own. Dismissed."

He walks out and everything goes back to as it was. The first place Seamus showed me was the cafeteria. I got some food and found an empty table in the corner hoping to eat my food in peace and took a seat.
I'm eating my food in peace when I see  someone in a yellow CBRN suit walking up to me he stands in front of me and starts tapping his foot impatiently.

Y/n: "Do I know you?" I ask, curious.

???:"Five minutes and you already think you're a badass." He says, aggressively and smugly.

???: "Oliver, don't do this." A Russian lady said, a few tables down.

Oliver: "Shut it Lera, I'm gonna put him in his place." He says even more smugly.

Y/n: "Fucking. Try it." I snap back.

Lera: "Oliver, I'm telling you, this is a bad idea." She says, a hint of worry in her voice.

Y/n: "It's never the loud ones you worry about... It's the quiet ones." I say, calmly.

Oliver: "Yeah, he's such a tough guy." He says, sarcastically.

Y/n: "Again. Swing." I taunt.

He swings at me so I dodge it and twist his arm behind his back and slam his head into the table. He gets up and swings at me, landing a right hook. I punch him in the gut a few times. He then makes the mistake of trying to kick me in the balls. I grab his leg and shove him, knocking him flat on his ass.

Y/n: "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm trying to eat." I say, just wanting to eat my food.

I go back to eating leaving shocked expressions on everyone's faces. The woman he called Lera helped him up and walked him out of the cafeteria. I could tell from looking around that I had gained varying levels of respect. A couple of the girls who were looking at me earlier were now gushing over me. Seamus makes his way over along with one of the girls following behind him. 

Seamus: "Good work ere' lad. Showed him his place." Sledge says as he takes the seat to my left.

Y/n: "So you didn't come over here to scold me, that's good. I have many questions. Mainly, what's his deal. And who is she?" I say, just defeated by my own confusion.

Sledge: "That's Oliver, he can be a real asshole sometimes." He says, not sounding surprised.

Grace: "To answer your other question though, I'm Grace, but my field name is Dokkaebi." she says as she sits to my right, so close she might as well be leaning on me.

'DAMN, she's cute!' I thought to myself.

I must have been blushing or something, because she definitely picked up on it.

Grace: "Oh? See something you like?" She asks, now actually leaning on me, much to the envy of the other girls. I mean, I'd be lying if I said no, Her tight leggings showing off her legs and ass. She's also a cute Asian with glasses which is a plus as well.

Y/n: "I-I, well I-" I'm cut off as she grabs my hand, our fingers interlocking.

Grace: "Oh, come on, I don't bite." She says teasingly.

Y/n: "I-I uh..." My blush deepens, garnering a chuckle out of Seamus and jealousy out of the other girls.

Seamus: "C'mon lad, I've still gotta show you around the base." He says, giving me a way out of this uncomfortable situation.
