𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐘𝐍 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘 𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐄𝐋 𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐌 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 when her dad had informed her that he was turning his script about the outerbanks of north carolina into a tv show. he had also offered evelyn her first job out of college. evelyn had been one of the biggest helps in finding the right cast. she only got to help when the casting calls were in la since she was still in college at ucla. she was on track to graduate the winter before they started filming so that's what she did.

after her graduation she had flew from los angeles to charleston and had moved right back into her childhood bedroom in her childhood home. it was one place that evelyn could always call home and feel at peace when doing so.

she was the first one to tell her dad to cast madelyn cline and she was the one that convinced her dad that rudy pankow was the perfect jj maybank. those two actors had soon become evelyn's best friends.

amongst  her amazing casting abilities she wasn't there to meet chase or drew during the chemistry reads or original castings.

as evelyn got ready for the dinner with the cast she was slightly uneased. she knew that this job had only been offered to her because her dad was the director. the girl didn't want everyone to look at her as jonas pate's little girl. she had talent and she knew that.

once dressed and ready for the dinner she smiled at herself in the mirror. she was ready to take on anything. she was ready for the never ending adventure that she would be going on by working on this show.

the girl walked down stairs to meet her dad who was driving to the event. "you ready sweetheart?" jonas questioned his oldest daughter. evelyn was the only one of her siblings going to the dinner that night. the only reason she was going was she was apart of crew.

"ready as i'll ever be" the eldest pate daughter smiled at her father as they exited the house.

it wasn't a long drive at all to the restaurant they were having the event at so the two had gotten there insanely quick.

as soon as they had gotten to the restaurant evelyn had automatically seen a head of dirty blonde hair. she wasn't present at the final chemistry reads so it had been a little while since she saw her friend. it took evelyn less than a second to get out of the car and run to the dirty blonde girl.

tackling the blonde girl in a hug before she even announced her presence. the suddenness of the hug had shocked the cline girl before she realized the only possible hugger was the pate girl.

a light laugh was heard out of madelyn cline's mouth before she hugged evelyn back. "oh my how i missed those hugs" madi smiled.

"i hate that i didn't go to the last week of chem reads" evelyn frowned as she finally let go. "oh i'm so sorry i interrupted" the girl spoke once realizing there was a brown haired boy in front of them, she guess that he was talking to madi before she came.

"oh, no, no, you're fine" the unnamed boy had defended. "i'm chase by the way" he smiled introducing himself, as he extended a hand out to her.

"ah, chase stokes! my dad has talked a lot about you" evelyn smiled while shaking the boys hand.

"dad?" chase questioned with a confused look.

"oh, i'm evelyn pate, jonas' oldest kid. i'm gonna be working on set" the blonde girl was quick with her reply once she realized that she never introduced herself.

"nice to meet you evelyn" the boy smiled before leaving the two girls to go talk to someone else.

"have you seen rudy yet?" evelyn turned her focus back to madi.

"not yet, but i want to introduce you to austin and drew" madi replied before pulling evelyn through the crowd of cast and crew.

"austin, drew, this is evie. she's jonas' daughter and is gonna be working on set" madelyn introduced evelyn as they stopped in-front of two boy. the two boys were around the same height, one slightly taller than the other. both of their hair was done in a messy fashion but you could tell it was messy on purpose.

"evie or evelyn" the blonde girl was quick to correct the other blonde.

"well hi evie, i'm gonna be playing rafe but i promise i'm nothing like him" one of the boys standing in front of the two girls spoke.

"oh so you're not a drug addict who kills people?" evelyn was quick to make the joke.

as the night continued, evelyn had finally found rudy. once finding each other the two shared a short embrace.

"hi ru, i miss you" the blonde girl smiled once letting go of the hug. the blond boy smiled down at his best friend.

"hi ev, i miss you" he imitated the girl.

the two friends talked for what felt like hours, occasionally another cast member would come and join them in their conversation. the two only stopped talking when jonas had come and interrupted to grab evelyn and take her home.

as she sat in her bed evelyn smiled at all the memories she knew she would make during this. filming was to start the next week and evelyn could not wait. she had already formed so many bonds with the cast members and she was so excited to see their talents play out.

she had no idea what she was getting into
but she knew it was gonna be worth it
