Tie your shoes

Jessica, was a plump and short but cute girl. She had an older brother who took good care of her. She was twelve years old and both her parents died when she was nine. Since then, her nineteen year old brother had been both parents to her. He started running his father's company immediately he graduated high school, his work was very commendable.

Jessica and her brother Kendrick were invited to their aunt's wedding, so they got prepared and assisted in any way they could. Jessica was very nice and respectful, almost everyone she was around adored her. Although her parents died when she was young, she had so much love to give.

On the day of the wedding, Jessica got dressed in a white sundress, a white tennis cap and matching sneakers. They arrived at the church so early, that they had to wait an extra hour before procession. When it was time, the siblings and other guests proceeded out of their cars towards the church but Jessica tripped. Kendrick turned around to see what had happened, he glanced at her feet and then told her to tie her shoes. She looked down at her feet and realized that her shoe laces were undone. 'But I tied them', she thought to herself before bending to tie them again.

She did her laces and continued walking, but soon enough she tripped again. Kendrick turned around and said for the second time, "tie your shoes", "but I did already", she complained and bent down to retie. When she was done, she continued walking towards the church just to trip over her own foot again. This time she took off her shoes, but no matter how much she tried to put them back on, she just couldn't. She didn't understand what was happening, so she asked her brother for help.

Kendrick being very tall, knelt on one knee and slipped Jessica's feet into her shoes and did her laces. When he was done, he got up and dusted his trousers. Jessica whispered a thank you and continued walking. This time around, she fell face first to the ground. Kendrick saw that the laces came undone and were tied to each other, he couldn't explain how but he knew something was really wrong somewhere.
