Chapter 13-An Adventure

Aphmau's pov
After last night everyone was shaken. I could hear Laurence pacing downstairs in the kitchen.I couldn't sleep and held onto Levin all night.
Zoey and Kawii-Chan observed Alexis and Garroth and Dante stood outside my door.
The hunt for Zane had continued through the night but there was no sign.
I get up from Levins side. I say good morning to Dante and then I walk down stairs
I see Laurence standing by the window
"Lady Aphmau "He says
"Laurence "I say walking over to him
"Are you okay "He asks
"Last night shook me a little bit. I didn't leave Levin side. I was scared Zane might try and come back for round two"I say
"He wouldn't not with us all here. He's a fool if he does "
"How are you feeling"
"The darkness is strong Lady Aphmau. I've not felt this way since the Nether"
"Is there anything I can do"
"Well for Alexis nothing can be done as of yet but keep everyone positive and hopeful may just help "Laurence says
I smile
"Thank you Laurence "I say
I hear talking and then the door opens
I see Cadenza
"Cadenza , morning "Laurence says
"How did you ..
"Your presence it's strong " Laurence says
"Well good morning to you both. I know everything has been a shock "Cadenza says
"Yes it has . Um Cadenza I would never ask this if you but is there a chance maybe you could look after Levin today "
"Of course I would love to"Cadenza says
"Thank you Cadenza"
"Laurence maybe you'd like to help"
"Ha me.. Cadenza I've never been "
"Come in Laurence. Attempting to do something normal "
"What use am I. I'm blind. I can't help that "Laurence says before walking downstairs to his room
"I didn't mean to upset him"She says
"He's adjusting Cadenza. His whole world just came crashing down. It's not easy "
"I know I'll go talk to him. And Levin will be safe with me don't worry "She says walking after Laurence
I smile
Poor Laurence... I have too much to think about. I should go see how everyone is .
Guard house
I was talking with Dante and Garroth when there was a knock
"Come in "I say
Zoey walks in
"Zoey is everything alright. Is it Alexis "
"No change but I may have found someone who may be able to help us "
"And who may that be "
"Her name is Lucinda . She lives in a small village called Pikero. It just out by the City of Scaleswind "
"what can she do for us."
"Well her magic may be strong enough to break Alexis' curse . She practices witchcraft"
"I see. Well then that's our next mission. We need to help Alexis "
"I suggest Dante and Garroth go with you the journey is long and very dangerous. While your away you may have to ask Cadenza to keep watch over Levin as I will be busy with Alexis "
"I'm sure she won't mind "I say
Later
Night fell quickly
I made my way up the hill.
I felt like I hadn't had a moment to breathe everything had been so crazy but I couldn't think about today. I had tomorrow to plan for.
I walk inside the house
I see Cadenza
"Are you supposed to be..
"Shh"She hisses
I give her a confused look
"Follow me "She whispers
We walk down into the basement and I look into Laurence's room
I see Levin and Laurence talking
I smile
Both in their own worlds. I guess they can relate on a lot of things.
I nod at Cadenza and we walk back upstairs
"I'm going to get going . I think Laurence and Levin get along just nicely . He made my job a whole lot easier "
I smile
"I'm Cadenza between you and Laurence do you think you could watch Levin. I have to go away . I need to find somebody from a far of village so I could be gone a while "
"Of course and I'm sure Laurence won't mind "
"Thank you Cadenza. If you would like you may use my room as a place of resting while you look after Levin "
"Thank you Lady Aphmau "She says
The Next day
I wake up earlier than usual
I walk downstairs with my bag and put it beside the door
I turn on the light
I look at the kitchen table and see Laurence sat there facing the window
"Laurence "I say
"Oh hello Lady Aphmau . Did I wake you "
"No. I just have to get up early considering have to go all the way to Pikero village "
"How long will you be gone "Laurence asks
"I believe a few weeks "I say as I sit beside him
"Oh"Laurence says
"Will you be okay "
"With Cadenza yes . She told me she's helping out with Levin so and I'm okay with her being here. Are you going with Anyone ."
"Garroth and Dante. Dale will be in charge while I'm gone "
"You have a lot of trust in your people "
"I do"
"I will miss you "Laurence says
"And I'll miss you too "I say
"I know Garroth and Dante will keep you safe "
"Yeah they will. Now would you like some breakfast "
"Actually I think I'm going to go back to bed. Would you help me downstairs. It seems I can no longer do it without falling ."
"Of course "I say
I walk around to him and take his hand before guiding him downstairs to his room
"I'll see you when you get home Lady Aphmau "Laurence says
I kiss him in the cheek
"You will"I say before walking up stairs
