Christian's POV

Today is the big day. The most awaited highlight of the entire University Sportsfest. I know that I am well prepared after Chad's help, from costume to his great mentoring. He helped me all the way.

It's 5am, I'm sitting on the toilet bowl on my dorm. Quite and peaceful, I'm starting to feel comfortable in the toilet. The calmness of the sorroundings made me think of things like how will things turn out tonight. But, with that I'm also thinking how Chad helps me on everything. I can't stop thinking of how we were before...

(Flashback)

It was Sportsfest when I was a freshman. The university has prepared a cheerdance competition for all the Freshmen of the departments. And because I am a freshman, I am also obliged to join. My classmate Mark is a choreographer, so the department chairman asked him to choreograph the whole routine.

Its the first day of practice under the scorching heat of the sun. Mark taught us the introduction steps, but since the sun is too hot, the freshmen can't focus on executing the routines and everything became a disaster. Mark is a few years older than us, he starts to rant and scold the freshmen for being so unattentive. A part of the disaster is the sunburn we got during the practice.

Also, the pressure was there. Since the population of the entire College of Education is quite huge, it added more on the problem of execution and synchronization. Good thing there are Sophomores who are dance troupe members of the University who is willing to help. And thats when I met Chad. He was a Sophomore at that time.

During breaktimes on practice, we usually talk under the rubber tree. We talk about life, our likes and dislikes.

While I was talking about how terrible I am at dancing, he chuckled and stared at me like there's no tomorrow and it freaks me out.

After we talked, he asked for my number. So, since we are already friends and we talk like almost of the breaktimes and I trust him, I gave him my number.

I can tell that he's happy to have my number.

The following days are terrible because of the practices and the scorching sun. But the nice part there is I am able to see Chad everyday of the week.

Now he already have my number we talk like almost of the time now. We text and we call each other.

I'm starting to feel something special towards him. But I'm confused and scared so I just let that feeling pass by.

The whole cheerdance routine is done. Today is the day that we are going to perform what we have worked hard for the last four days of preparation. This is the highlight of the entire sportsfest so everyone in the university is here. The freshmen performers from the different departments are very much prepared and the seniors are very busy showing their full support to their freshmen.

It's our turn to perform and I saw Chad looking at me giving a thumbs up on both of his hands and that gave me a feeling of assurance that I can do it. So that's it we performed and did our best.

We worked hard for this competition, but there will always be hailed as the greatest we did not won, but have the 2nd place and it was not that bad.
