Alex's PoV

"Hammie! Over here!" I hear John calling my name in the lunchroom the next day. Naturally, I automatically turn around and walk over to him. I waaas going to sit at my usual table in the corner with Meade, but nope. Not anymore. I sit in the chair next to him, slinging my arm over the back, crossing my legs, and grinning roguishly.

"You called?" I drawl.

"Yes I did. These are my friends." He gestures to the people sitting at the table. They all eye me with either disgust or slight hate. Like I care. John enjoys my company, that's enough for me.

"Sup." I say. "Hey, you asked your dad if he'll let you go to VidCon?"

"Yeah." He says.

"You told him I'd pay for your ticket and everything else?"

"Yeah."

"So what'd he say?"

"He said no."

"Bullshit. You're coming to VidCon with me and if he doesn't like it, I'll chop his dick off for not treating you right." I growl, totally not quoting a Vine.

"He'd kill us both." He warns.

"Not if I kill him first."

"Um, sorry to interrupt.... whatever this is, but why exactly are you sitting with us?" One of the girls at the table asks.

"Because John told me to." I say like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

"And why would he do that?" She questions. The other people look at me with contempt and disgust.

"Because we're friends Peggy. Calm down." John says.

"And why exactly are you two friends?" She demands.

"Because we enjoy each other's company and I help him with his homework because he's terrible at it without me." I say jokingly.

"Hey, I've been doing fine on my homework for my whole life without you." John says.

"Yeah? Well I remember you having to call me over to your house because you couldn't find the link on Dad's homework." I shoot back.

"Well you fell asleep for two hours."

"Well I was very much caffeine deprived!" I fire. He just grins and stops. "Thank you for recognizing my superiority." I say. He punches me.

"When the fuck did this bromance happen? And why were we not aware of it?" One of the other girls asks. I recognize her as Angelica Schuyler. Her dad is loaded.

"Like..... two days ago? I think? Wow, that was fast." He laughs.

"Time flies when you're playing Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga with two pros, J." I say. "Anyone else play that old game or is it just me? Just me? Y'all are losers."

"If you're going to be rude, you can leave." The third girl says. Eliza Schuyler.

"Ya see sweetheart, this is just the way I am. And I really don't feel like leaving. Boo hoo. Anyone of you going to VidCon? Nonstop seventeen seventy six is finally attending. About time." I grumble. Yes, it's long overdue that you do a face reveal. You're an asshole.

"These three don't. They're fucking idiots." The fourth girl says. "They say that he's 'too violent' and 'he swears too much.' Pussies." I stare at them.

"His videos are amazing! They're hilarious! Are you even humans, or are you aliens?" I demand.

"Okay Hammie. Calm down. We do not discuss the most amazing of YouTubers at this table or we'll end up not speaking to each other for days. And none of us like that." John says.

"Fine. So are you going to VidCon?" I ask, rolling my eyes and kicking my feet up on the lunch table.

"That's gross." John says. I take my feet off with a sigh.

"My boots are relatively clean J." I grumble. "I really don't do much in them other than drive my motorcycle around."

"Still gross."

"Whatever." I cross my leg over my other one the way Obi Wan does in Revenge of the Sith when Anakin is allowed into the council but denied the rank of master.

"Well, if I can get plane tickets, I'm going. I'm not missing the chance to be there when Nonstop is finally unmasked." The fourth girl says. "Maria Lewis." I jerk my head up slightly at her.

"I don't think my parents will let me. But I'd go if I could." The dude sitting at the table says. "Hercules Mulligan."

"I'm going, without a doubt. I talked about it with my dad and he said we can go. And I'll be paying for tickets, hotel rooms, all that." I say loftily.

"You have a job?" Angelica asks.

"You could say that. It's nothing illegal. I know that's what you're thinking. No, I'm too smart to be a drug dealer. There's other ways to make large sums of money." I say lazily. "And smarter ways."

"Such as....?" Eliza asks.

"That's my private business. I'm done here. Good day." I stand up and walk back to my usual table with Meade.

John's PoV

"Good job guys, you scared him off." I cry in exasperation.

"I don't think anything or anyone can scare him." Hercules remarks. "Why are you hanging out with him? He's an asshole."

"Not away from school. He's a lot more fun out of school." I tell him. "I don't know why but he's different at his house. He's actually really nice."

"Sure." Peggy says skeptically.

"Stop it! At least give him a chance." She rolls her eyes but doesn't say anything. Some people.
