The sky outside was once again pitch black, and for the first time in a while Jaemin found himself staring at the sign at the door that this time told him Coff-lee was closed. For the first time in a couple days, he had heard back from Jeno about what next to do about the Valentine's Day festival.
Surprisingly, something in him stirred up a newfound excitement, and Jaemin didn't know whether it was because he was finally going to a social event or the couple wanted to be friends with him still. He had texted Jeno almost first thing in the morning the day after he made the offer, and this morning he received a text telling him to come to the cafe after closing hours. Jaemin was also asked to bring some fabrics with him, if he could, because they were planning to design aprons for their booth employees to wear and they needed his help.
That was the reason that Jaemin wasn't standing there empty handed, but with a bookbag on his back and a black tote bag in his hands. Both were stuffed with different fabrics he thought would go well for the theme of Valentine's Day and other sewing materials. He really hoped that Jeno and Renjun had a sewing machine he could use, but he was perfectly fine without it too.
Stuck in his thoughts, he didn't notice the door to the cafe opening and somebody walking out. Jaemin jumped when a voice snapped him back to reality, he almost dropped the huge rolls of fabric he was clutching to his chest as he peeked out from behind them to look at the cute boy in front of him.
"Minnie!" Jaemin's heart melted a little at Renjun's smile and the nickname. "Come inside, we've been waiting for you."
Nodding, Jaemin waddled inside, looking around for Jeno. He furrowed his eyebrows when he found that he couldn't find the other man. "Renjun? Where's Jeno?"
"In the kitchen, of course! There's so much more space there than here. Come with me!" Renjun hesitated on walking forward, frowning at the amount of fabric that Jaemin was carrying all by himself. He stepped closer, putting his hands on the handles of the tote bag. Jaemin couldn't tell if their touching hands were incidental or not. "Let me carry some of these, Minnie."
Jaemin let go of the tote bag, smiling in thanks at the older. He followed Renjun into the kitchen, where Jeno was leaning against a counter while waiting for the two. On the clean, sleek metal and marble kitchen set up, there was a sewing machine teasing Jaemin's creative juices. It sat on the large island in the middle of the room, where there was plenty of space for the fabrics he and Renjun set down.
Once their hands were free and Jaemin had slid his bookbag off himself to place it next to everything on the table, he turned back to face Jeno and Renjun. "How have you two been?" he asked politely.
Renjun surprised him when he wrapped the taller in a tight hug, "We missed you, of course! Why haven't you come here to have breakfast in so long? I already started worry about you."
"Uh," Jaemin lightly reciprocated the hug, his eyes darting from the boyfriend pressed against him to the boyfriend staring at them in font of him, "I had a lot of work to complete the last couple of days before my break. Ye-yeah, and I was too busy to go out." He nervously laughed.
Jeno walked up to them, still embraced in a hug, and Jaemin thought that he was going to tear the two apart. Instead, he only joined the jumble of limbs, his face being scarily close to Jaemin's. "You thought you could leave me out of this, huh?" He smirked, kissing the top of a squirming and giggling Renjun.
Jaemin couldn't help but crack a smile at the other two as they interacted, but it quickly faded and was replaced with a quivering expression when Jeno raised his head. Their noses brushed against each other, sending Jaemin into a frozen panic. His cheeks flushed at Jeno's next words, the deep pitch sending goosebumps down his spine, "You want a kiss too?"
Suddenly Jaemin backed away from the couple, breaking their collective embrace. This wasn't right, why was Jeno saying these things? He stared as he watched Renjun and Jeno exchanges some glances before Renjun nodded happily, smiling brightly as always. They didn't come close to him, but Renjun spoke up for the both of them.
"Minnie~" he pouted, grabbing on and keeping a loose grip on his boyfriend's fingers, "Can we give you a kiss? Please?" Jaemin's eyes widened at the request, darting from each man to the one next to him and back.
"K-kiss?" Jaemin coughed into a closed fist, as if he was choking on the butterflies that just found their place in his stomach. "Are you two serious?"
Jeno smiled, "Why wouldn't we be?"
Butterflies now fluttering over to other parts of him, Jaemin responded despite his baffled state. "But that doesn't make sense. You two," he pointed at Renjun, then Jeno, "are dating. You kiss each other, so that would be betrayal for any of you to kiss me." He finished off his little speech by pointing to himself.
"Is it betrayal if we're both fine with it, though?" Renjun smirked, which was a new side of the man that Jaemin hadn't been introduced to. That type of side of Jeno already made him want to melt out onto the kitchen floor like a mistreated ice cream scoop, but add Renjun to the list of toppings and he could fully evaporate into sugar crystals.
As if that statement wasn't enough to caused his entire body to enter system failure, Jeno added on to Jaemin's suffering, "Also, what if we both want it? Would count as your so-called 'betrayal?' Hm?" The two were oozing with bold confidence, an aura that made his legs feel weak. He was considering dropping on his knees and letting them kiss him however many times they wanted with no question, but he still believed that he possessed some dignity within him.
Instead of what his legs and heart were telling him to do, he shook his head, "I guess it's not, but why do you two even want to kiss me?"
"Don't worry about it, Minnie," Renjun chuckled, taking a step closer to Jaemin.
Jeno was dragged along, placing his free hand gently on Jaemin's shoulder, "So, Min? What do you say?"
At first Jaemin tensed up at the touch, but he found himself liking it so he softened up, looking at both of the men in front of him before nodding. "Okay, kiss me if you really want," Jaemin crossed his arms, "but on one condition."
Both of them tilted their head to the side simultaneously, which made Jaemin really want to hide his face in his hands and scream from the cuteness overload. Miraculously, he was able to keep a straight face, tilting it and pointing to his cheek. "Cheek," he simply said, "okay?"
While Renjun's giggles distracted him, Jeno's hand suddenly took hold of Jaemin's chin and they were pulled closer to each other. Jeno leaned in, placing a linger kiss on the other's cheek. Jaemin almost didn't want Jeno to pull away, but they were soon separated.
Renjun let go of Jeno's hand, leaning his arms on Jaemin's shoulder that stood taller than his own. He leaned up, having a harder time with the kiss than his boyfriend that wasn't significantly smaller than both of the others. Renjun placed a kiss on Jaemin's other cheek, lasting just as long as Jeno's. Both men had kissed him longer than he'd expected, but he wasn't exactly complaining.
After he received the small kisses, Jaemin found it hard to look back at the two, especially with the weirdly affectionate stares they were sending him at the moment. He walked around them, heading over to the materials set up on the counter that hadn't been touched yet. They were supposed to be working right now.
"So," he tried to change the subject, "What type of style were you thinking of for the event apron design?" Thankfully, the couple seemed to comply with him, not pressuring him to talk further about the kisses they gave him just moments ago. They walked over to the counter to stand on either side of him, looking around at the different fabrics.
"Cute!"
"Simple." Renjun and Jeno answered at the same time, their behavior easing up the more dangerous butterflies thriving inside of him.
"Alright," Jaemin chuckled, zipping open his bookbag to retrieve his sewing tools and a notebook, "I have a couple ideas."
