My name is Amethyst, but my friends call me Amy. All my life I had lived in a village with my parents. I was raised in a small house, smaller than most people's houses. I lived a good life. Everywhere I turned there were people supporting me. All the hard times in my life weren't that hard, because I had so many people help me through them.

My family had a big wheat farm, as long as a big potato farm, and carrot farm. My family was a family of farmers. The other villagers would pay to have our food. Our food was probably the best in the village. We never went hungry, and neither did anyone else, thanks to us. I learned a little bit about farming, but not much. I mean, I started my own farm once, it was small but I didn't mind. I practiced taking care of it, but it only lasted so long before it withered away. I never wanted to be a farmer anyways, I always figured I could do something else then just follow in my family's path. I figured I could become a miner, yet I never learned how to mine. Or maybe I'd make a good...babysitter? That could work out. I like childred...though I've never had a little brother or sister.....I've also never had a baby, but it could still work out, right?

I had a lot of friends, one of which was my best friend. Her name was Alice, and we did everything together. We had the best of times, I remember so many funny memories we had. I never wanted to be away from her, she was so funny and silly and just made my life so much more fun! She taught me how to do so many things, and she knew how to do so much. She meant so much to me, and I just didn't want to be without her. She was a part of my family.

But one day everything changed. Some of the parents decided it was best to send their kids out to live on their own, including my parents. Alice said she would go with me, and that made me feel better, but I still was very scared of leaving to be on our own. This place was my life, my entire childhood was spent right here. I didn't want to leave it behind. I never wanted to leave it behind, and I really didn't want to go.

I said goodbye to my family, and Alice did the same. we didn't want to leave, but it wasn't our choice. My mom had to do the same thing when she was my age. It appearently worked out for her, but then again, she did find this village to stay at. We might not find a village or abandand home to stay at. We would have to make it ourselves, and I am not an architect.

I didn't think this would be happening so soon, I couldn't believe it. It was the day. The day I left my family, my friends, my life. It couldn't be worse. I looked back at my family as we slowely walked away. tears blured my vision, and I couldn't see them anymore. I looked back in the direction in which I was walking. That's when I knew, we were offically gone.
