Chapter 2

My girls and I were sitting on Vonna's steps talking about any and every thing. Ive known my bitches since forever, everyone except Tay. I met her in 7th grade when the wrong person tried to pick on her for being the "new girl. " I shut that down real quick and Taylor still beat the girl up. Akeelah and India were my friends since 3rd grade but I love Tay just as much. Akeelah has a big mouth and she stays opening her legs. We love her but she's the hoe out of the group. Kee makes bank though! Every time I see her, it's a new nigga, in a pretty ass car, with a lot of money, that he's giving to Akeelah. India is the complete opposite. India barely talks to anybody but she is cool as hell. Vonna is like a big sister to us. Well more to me. She's a drug dealer but she works part-time at a grocery store. I guess you can say its a cover up for her real job. It's also the reason that she knows everyone. Besides me, the very few friends she had were into the same business, other than  her besthoe. Oops! I mean best friend Chyna. She calls all of us her sister's but it's known that I'm her favorite. I'm a beautiful, classy, intelligent, non bullshit tolerating, cool ass VIRGIN. That last word is always what shocks them. Vonna would let us chill on her front porch and talk to all the big ballers that came through. Its one in particular that everybody loves so much. CHINO... He's the biggest hustler in the city. His mama taught him well because he is very respectful and protective of women. His sister Victoria and Vonna were best friends until Victoria got married and moved out of the country. Vonna would always tease us about Chino but loved to throw shade at me. I always figured he liked Akeelah though even though he calls me his princess. I don't know what that's about. I do know he's attractive though. Attractive, as in every sense. He has rich chocolate skin, the most luminescent smile you will ever see, deep light brown eyes, long eyelashes to compliment them, a perfect body, and a bone structure carved by God. His voice sounds like honey and he's extremely intelligent. I would love to lick- "Tarielle! Hello?", Keke interrupted my thoughts. "Oh, huh?" "Girl, what are you thinking about?" "Oh, I'm hungry. I'll be back. ", I lied. "Don't let Jason see you and be careful boo!" Jason is this guy from around the neighborhood. He has a younger brother named Kevin that I go to school with. He's cute but really quiet. He works at Family Dollar. Jason said that his brother has a crush on me but I think that he's just nice to me because I'm not on his dick like every other female at school. Jason always picks on me about being stuck up. Not because I wouldn't date his brother but because I wouldn't date anyone. The last guy I dated was an asshole and he got around. He just happened to be a friend of Jasons'. As a matter of fact, there is Jason now. "One hit wonder!", he yelled out the window. I laughed and gave him the finger. "Fuck you too lil punk ass girl!" "Bye, Jason!" He pulled off. I walked in the corner store and bumped into Chino. "Sorry, Princess! I don't know where my mind was." "Its okay. I should've p-" He put his index finger to my lip. "It was my fault. Now come in this store and get what you want so I can get you where you need to be." With that being said I walked in the store and browsed around. I grabbed some chips and a soda and put it on the counter. "You know that's my favorite drink and chips you have right there?" "You're lying! These are my favorites! " "I promise baby girl." As soon as I reached to get some money he slapped a hundred on the counter. "Chino I can't l-" "I got you Princess." He handed me the change and I followed him outside. His car always matched his clothes. We got in the all white Bentley and he pulled off. "So where you going to?" I cleared my throat. "Um, home." "Look, don't act like you scared of me. We've been knowing each other for a while and you barely ever say two words to me girl. Don't act so nervous with me." "I'm not. I just don't like people to do anything for me. And as for me barely saying two words to you, we don't have anything to talk about." He laughed and shook his head. "I'm not people. You don't have to ask for anything. I wanna give any way. And you can talk to me about anything. Any thing you need, I'm here." "Thanks Chino. That's really sweet." I tried to get out but he stopped me. He hopped out and ran to my side to open the door. This guy is such a gentleman. "Thank you again Chino." "Any thing for my Princess. Don't act so on edge the next time I see you." I giggled. "Okay. See you later." I walked in the house and locked the door. I really like Chino but I'm not gonna be all over him like every other female. And who would know how to act around his fine ass? My mama was at work as usual but it's not long before she gets home. I don't know how she manages with two jobs. I barely see her but she's still a great mom. I love my mom but I wish we could spend more time together. That's why we love Vonna so much. She plays the mother figure a lot. I warmed up a hot pocket and checked, my phone. Speak of the devil! I had two missed calls from Vonna. I called her back...

Vonna: What happened to you baby trick?

Me: I had to get something to eat at the store and I bumped into Chino at the store.

Vonna: I heard bitch. Well any ways, I'm having a kick back at my house tonight. You need to be here.

Me: I guess but you know I'm antisocial hoe. What time do you want me to be ready?

Vonna: Be ready at 9 trick.

Me: I will be ready at 8:30 trick master. Now get off my line hoe!

Vonna: Okay boo. See you later and tell ma I love her.

She hung up and I wish I had said no. I know Chino's gonna be there. I can't think straight around his fine ass. Fuck that hot pocket! I gotta find something to wear. As a matter of fact, I have the perfect outfit. I'm wearing my white halter top with my bleached high waist shorts and some gold accessories. I started curling my hair so I could wear it in a loose ponytail. "Princess, I'm home!" She sounded tired. I ran downstairs and hugged her. "How was work mommy?" "I actually had a good day. I got an extra hour on my break and it wasn't so busy. What's going on with you hunny bunches?" "Not much. Vonna wants me to come over a little later and she said to tell you that she loves you." "Tell my baby I love her too. Y'all stay out of trouble. Mama's tired baby. I love you." She hugged me again went upstairs. I walked in the bathroom and turned on the hot shower. I let the water run on me for a few minutes and realized how tired I was. I scrubbed my body and rinsed off. I wrapped my towel around me and layed across my bed.
